Excellent shredder! I was able to shred a huge amount of documents fairly quickly.

This is a good shredder. I like the micro cut, and I like the number of pages it shreds at one time. It also shreds cardboard very well. I like the large capacity basket, and the "full basket" light. Gone are the days of pulling out the basket and having shredded paper fly everywhere because it kept shredding even when the basket was full. There are only two things I don't like: 1) the shredder turns itself off after a few minutes, so you have to turn it back on when you want to shred again if it's been those few minutes since the last shred; and 2) when you take the basket out to empty it, you have to turn the shredder back on after you put the basket back in. Other than those two fairly minor complaints, I'm really happy with my purchase. I've used several shredders in my life, and the Vida Teco is one of the best ones I've used.

Does a great job on credit cards, CDs as well as paper. Only with it didn't shut off as soon as it does between jobs.

This came promptly, and was carefully and securely packaged. I did wait a day to use it, as it was transported to a cold climate during a very cold spell, and didn't want to tax the motor. I'm a fan of these smaller pull-out drawers in shredders, which are hard to find. (Thanks, Amazon!) I had a similar style, and it recently died after almost 12 years, so I was happy to find this as a replacement.I love this compact style for daily, light use. If you're going to "store" junk mail/sensitive papers for infrequent shredding sessions, this is NOT for you. (Note that we have a "Big Bertha" lol shredder in our basement for that.) I generally shred as I receive mail, or want to eliminate older forms with identifying info, and seldom have I even had a shredding session which lasts a minute. The motor is not excessively loud and, in fact, sounds just like the old one, so that's a good sign.You have to read the instructions; they're clear as to what this unit can and cannot shred. I did notice that it tends to "pull" paper to the side a bit--still shreds it, though. This is rectified by using both hands to insert the paper. *Also, notice the ARROW in the center of the feeder*. That is where flimsy receipts should be placed, because they won't "catch" if you try to feed them into the sides. What you can also do, is place just a few such receipts in an envelope to be shredded. Again, just be careful not to exceed the paper sheet limit, and be aware that, for example, if you fold 2 sheets before shredding, that counts as 4 sheets.I've had this shredder for two weeks, am pleased with its operation, and am confident that it will last as long as my other one did.

They quickly responded, acknowledged that the machine might be defective, and immediately sent us a replacement.The new shredder works flawlessly—it’s efficient, reliable, and exactly what we were looking for. This shredder is a beast. I have had this shredder for about 1/2 a year. I do a lot of shredding. It has never overheated shredding piles of paper. I dump directly into the bin. Then I bag when it is time to empty. The size of the bin is perfect for placing a 13-gallon clear bag over the removed bin, turning upside-down and emptying into the bag (no mess!). Then just place the empty bin back and you are ready for business! I have not had any jamming issues. The machine shreds everything quickly with no issues or jamming. Its speed shredding rivals any expensive machine. It is great for home use and office use. The quality of micro shredding is phenomenal! You get a lot of bang for your buck with this machine.

The shredder operates quietly, and will shred a ton of paper! It also does credit cards, CDs, etc. The sad part of things has to do with the power switch on the front of the unit. This would be it's Achilles heel. I used it for a month and a half and that was over a month and a half ago. The center switch on the front control panel just collapsed into the machine. This is of course rendered it inoperative. And I have purchased two of these, the other one is being used off site, and has exhibited similar issues. What is so disappointing is this company was on the cusp of a really good product but they dropped the ball with a 20 cent switch they can't stand the test of time. I have tried to contact them to see about getting a remedy for this, but have heard nothing back. So I'm sorry I have to give it one star for non-existent customer support, a warranty that doesn't cover anything since they don't get back with you. And a switch setup that is horribly inefficient, insubstantial, and definitely not up to the task. As that power switch on the front of the machine must be pushed each time you want to run it. As you can see that is a little hard to do. So I'm placing this and they do not buy category. Perhaps someday the company will reimagine how important this power switch is and they'll get it fixed with a more robust version. I am replacing this one with another company's model. This I'll try to fix myself when I have the time, or it'll be a really awesome paperweight! It's not good for much else don't waste your money. That's my honest evaluation. I will however if I ever hear from this company and they try to make it right, and succeed in doing so, amend this review. But I'm not holding my breath!

Bought this to shred boxes and paper to make bedding for my animals. Works absolutely great so far with no issues. Has paid for itself in the amount of straw its saved me from buying.
