Shake and Spill
I used these to show other teachers a fun and engaging game their students can play—Shake and Spill. This product is perfect for students and can be used in a variety of ways. These chips will last forever.

Tired of foam counters getting chewed on in your classroom? Try these!
I switched to plastic two color math counter for my kindergarten classroom and the results have been GREAT! Students no longer draw or chew the math manipulative and they will last year after year. The color is perfect for my math curriculum, the price is honest, and kids have more fun and more understanding when they use counters to solve. The size fits perfectly onto a standard ten frame. They’re so versatile!

Very thin plastic
They are plastic, not foam, but they are really thin. It makes them hard to turn over on a table or desk unless you have a fingernail to help. The kids slide them off the desk to turn them over. They stick to each other if you try to wash a bunch at a time. You get a TON of them, so that's good. If you're okay with super thin, they're great.

Great for homeschooling
These counters are well made and very nicely sized for my first grader. She loves to play with them and has probably lost a dozen or so already but that's ok because there's SO MANY counters included with this set. It's probably more than a single homeschooler needs but it'd be great for someone with multiple kids or a classroom setting. The container is great for storing all the pieces and the latches hold it closed well. I like that they're dual sided so you can more easily model addition or subtraction problems by using one color for each number value. That really seems to help my daughter conceptualize the process. I like these counters and so does she.

The container is thin plastic and the counters are not sealed in a bag
The counters would have been perfect for what I needed-- except that I actually need 1,000 of them. The first time I ordered, the container was missing a latch and the counters were spilled inside the box and sliding out the bottom, so I was already sure there were pieces missing. The second time I order, the top was open and the lid was cracked. I actually counted the counters this time, and it was 13 pieces shy of 1,000. I'm hesitant to try to order a third time.

Better than the foam ones
The school district supplies us with the foam ones which get nasty, the kids chew on, and not easily cleaned. These hold up much better, can be easily cleaned, and are great. The price point seems a little high, but absolutely worth it to me. Overall, in a post-COVID world, these are the ticket! I hope this review was helpful!

Great counters for Math!
Really great manipulative set. There are so many and conveniently come in a nice box with a handle. It is a bit heavy but not really for 1000 pieces. I really like that it has 2 colors. It is plastic and a good size that is perfect for counting. We are starting multiplication next week and have already been using these during review. I like that you get a lot in a smaller box so it doesn't take up too much space. Very easy to use and grab.

I got this huge set of 1000 two-colour math counters for my kindergarten classroom as this type of math manipulative can be used for many different purposes, and we never seem to have enough of these "chips" as my students call them. I am very happy with this set as it comes in a plastic bin that holds all 1000 and can be used for other purposes as well (I'm thinking of putting them into smaller containers to make it easier for my students to use). They are smooth and are all the same size So far we have found several purposes for these counters, with more to come. My students have enjoyed using them as a tool for non-standard measurement, as they are all the same size and are easy to line up next to each other to measure another object. They have also enjoyed using them as loose parts and pretending they are money. Of course they always come in handy for helping with counting and sorting activities, and also for marking off things such as when they do roll and cover activities, they can use the chips to mark the number they roll. One of the most useful things they can be used for is addition and subtration, as well as composing and decomposing numbers. Since they are two different colours (red on one side and yellow on the other), they are an amazing tool for teaching children to add and subtract, as well as how to create different numbers (e.g., 3 red and 2 yellow make 5, as do 1 red and 4 yellow, etc.). I know these math manipulatives will get excellent use within my classroom for many years to come, as this set of 1000 is truly HUGE, and that means that even if a few go missing, we still have tons to use. Definitely recommended!

I've been looking to add to my collection of math manipulatives, especially since I was looking for something to be used at a grade school, and these red and yellow discs come in a convenient storage case that holds enough counters to be used with an entire class. The storage case is relatively sturdy, with locking clips to help keep the lid in place. The clips are a bit loose so I'm not sure I'd trust carrying this around without taking a bit of care, as dropping it would make a significant mess. The hard plastic discs, which do not have any flex or bend in them, are about the size of a Loonie, though they're much thinner then the coin. The plastic is smooth to the touch while the edges have a bit of a sharpness to them, though not so much as to pose any kind of hazard or to make them uncomfortable to hold/use. Overall, a nice compact set with discs that are thick enough they should stand up to plenty of use. At approximately five cents a disc they're not the cheapest option out there, but the fact the discs are identical in colour and size, and have a good overall build quality, makes them a decent value.

This box of two-coloured, 1" diameter plastic "coins" is definitely intended for the classroom, whether that be in a regular or a home-school setting. Little hands can manage them easily and the side-clasp storage container, while a little thin for repeated use by less-than-careful children, is handy and spacious enough to store all 1000 "coins". My Special Education teacher/ daughter sees potential in this set for helping children visualize addition, subtraction and other abstract mathematical concepts. Writing coin values on some (5, 10, 25 cents and $1) will help groups of students understand money: "When every group brings me exactly $1.85, we'll...", or "How many ways can these coins be put together to add up to exactly...": Development of collaborative problem solving skills along with evolving numeracy is a great outcome for any learning activity! The manufacturer suggests the tokens could be arranged by students to create different geometric or artistic shapes; this would have to be teacher-directed challenges as young students are not likely to see much free-time play value in a box of red & yellow 1" plastic disks. Any artistic use would necessarily have to be two dimensional, other than making stacks of tokens. On summary, this kit has the makings of being a useful learning tool especially in the hands of a creative and inspirational teacher, or parent for that matter. This is decidedly not a "Here you are, now go away and play!" toy. Also, be prepared for time being spent picking up and re-storing errant tokens. The nice thing is teachers and parents can lose a few tokens without rendering the kit useless. 4 out of 5.

This set of counting coins are nice with no rough edges and they are double sided , red on one and yellow on the other. The set contains 1000 double sided coins. The coins are smooth. The plastic bucket the coins come in is not great, mine already broke. It is thin plastic and the clasps break off easily. The coins are too heavy for this cheap case. The coins are great for counting exercises , pattern making, bingo games, crafting, classroom money for rewards , and so much more. Also great for adults as money/chips for card games. I would love to see an upgrade on the storage container for this set.
