I am a complete beginner when it comes to sewing and embroidery. I love to craft and primarily am a beader/bead weaver. I have started experimenting with bead embroidery where I learned the only sewing/embroidery skill I knew prior to this kit - a beaded backstitch.. I was looking for a kit that would give me basic skills with a bunch of different stitches that I could then use in other crafts and not necessarily to do embroidery alone, so I chose this kit. It's exactly what I was hoping it would be. A way to learn and practice stitches that I can use however I want. The kit does seem to come with everything you need. I love that. I haven't had to supply anything at all. I could open the box and go. They seem to be good quality as well. My one slight gripe is with the instructions. I don't always find them as clear as I would like. For example, it obviously wants you to choose a needle but it doesn't give you a ton of information about the sizes of needles included and which one to start with. I ended up taking a picture of the needle pack and asking AI. For the fellow complete beginners, the needles are sizes 1-5. The longer and thicker the needle the larger size it is, so 5 is the longest (they're in the middle). I found that using a 3 or 4 was about right. I also had a similar issue with the floss. You're taught to separate the floss, but not how many strands to use. If you eventually flip through the back of the instruction book, it says to see everything with 3 strands. I wish the instructions had been clearer and the videos had audio. For the first few easier stitches, not having audio is fine. But for the more complicated ones, I could see myself wanting the explicit instruction. However, it does label each stitch so I know what to look for. Other than the challenges with the instructions, I really love this kit. It was fun to practice my running stitch both on the hoop and off and learn new skills. I can't wait to learn more stitches and then put them to use! A great product for a complete beginner. Fabulous if you are wanting to just learn stitches - probably not great if you want to do some kind of project to apply them. But it's exactly what I wanted. Completely recommend this kit as long as you know the instructions might be a little vague at times.

For the price, this is an excellent way to learn many embroidery stitches. You're provided with both manual explaining the stitches and QR codes to find demonstrations on YouTube. If you're curious about learning this hobby, this is a great place to start.

I’m a lifelong cross stitcher, and I’m just getting into embroidery. I felt like this sampler would be helpful in learning the stitches. It is, but with some limitations. The numbers printed on the fabric don’t make any sense and don’t match up with what the instructional video shows. I was so confused and had to watch multiple videos to finally get the outline stitch. It remains to be seen how I fare with all the rest.

I love this. I recently got into embroidery and this is perfect not just to practice but for reference too. Excellent price and quality. It’s easy to use for kids and beginners. The items purchased in this kit is everything you need to get started and affordable than purchasing everything separately.

I’ve never tried embroidery before and wanted to begin a new hobby. With looking through different beginner sets, I decided on this one and I’m so glad that I did! The kit comes with everything that is needed to begin learning a lot of different stitches with a booklet with written instructions/photos, but my favorite is the QR code that takes you straight to the YouTube link for that specific item. The videos are so straight forward and to the point. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to begin embroidery.

As a complete beginner they leave out a lot of details like how long of a thread to start with or clearer instructions on tying the knots. The patterns seem to be decent to teach you the different stitches but the fabric leaves something to be deisired since it seems to be completely coated in ink or something that makes it harder to get exactly where you want to push the needle through

Directions are very easy to follow and include videos. Each stitch has many practice opportunities to get it right.

I have received the wrong embroidery fabrics. Instead of embroidery fabrics 1, 2, 3 and 4, I have received no “embroidery stitches-1”, and instead received two of the “embroidery stitches-4”. There is no contact information so not sure what to do. Purchased this product on the 26th of Jan 2025.

Perfect starter kit for youngsters or those ancient folk like me wanting some small project for holiday downtime. Has everything you need. Clear paper instructions with QR codes for more info on each stitch and guide for the central image work. Has everything you need, hoop, needles and threader, scissors, stitch unpicker and of course full skeins of each colour threads. Perfect.

I am fairly experienced with needlework but haven’t done any embroidery for a few years so I picked this kit up as a refresher course. I am very impressed. The materials included are not top quality but they do the job in the main. The only thing I changed was the hoop as I prefer plastic. Even the scissors do an ok job. The best part absolutely has to be the quality of the instructions. The booklet has step by step instructions for all the stitches and plenty of pictures. There is also a QR code for each stitch that links to a YouTube video if you need an example. The videos show you everything there is to know about the stitches. Topics covered start right at the basics of how to use a hoop and thread a needle. Just about everyone could use this kit. Even children from around age 7 with a bit of adult help. It has been easy and fun to complete. I plan to stitch the individual fabric squares together to make a book along with some more advanced stitches. This kit comes highly recommended.

Instructions are not good - scissors are useless as is the needle threader. Throw them away
