Great addition to a great stove.
I'm very impressed by this simple solution to the Coleman white gas stove. I appreciate that you do not have to convert your stove one way or the other to use this. The propane lights and runs beautifly without the hassle of getting the generator warmed up.

Works great
I put this on an old 425 with a bad gas tank. Works great with one or two burners. No more fiddling around with pumps.

It works
It's a good upgrade to the liquid fuel stove. Just turn on and light up, no fussing with pumping and priming the gas delivery. But it takes out the mystique and labor of pumping and waiting, so make your choice carefully.

Great Product!!
Bought this to convert my 25+/- year old Coleman gas stove to propane. Works perfectly!!! Should have bought this years ago. I use it with a 6 foot adapter hose and a 20lb propane tank for tailgating. (I keep a spare tank with about 5lb propane).

Every Coleman Fuel Camp Stove Should Have One These In It
This is easy to drop into any Coleman fuel/gasoline suite-case stove so it can be used with a propane bottle as well. It regulates better than another brand of adapter I own. The attachment spring is a little too strong, but it can easily be stretched out to weaken it just enough. (It probably should get four stars for that, but I like it too much to lower the rating.) Personally, I think it is safe enough to be used indoors during a power outage -- something I would not be willing to do with a gasoline-fueled stove, which can flame out.BTW, a flame-out can happen if a gasoline/Coleman fuel stove is left on on 'low' for too long, letting the generator lose its prime and flooding the stove with a slow trickle of raw gasoline. I learned that from personal experience. The other use for one of these is if you refill your own 16.1 ounce propane bottles using an adapter connected to a 20-pound bottle. Overfilling a one-pound bottle is easy to do, even when following the instructions. It's also dangerous since it leaves no room for expansion in the small bottle if it is stored in a hot location. The over-pressure that generates could blow open the safety release valve that's on every one-pound bottle, filling the area with an explosive gas.If you are doing your own refilling, and your scale tells you that you are a couple of ounces over what should be in the bottle, you can attach this to the bottle to safely bleed off the excess. That's a lot better approach that messing with the over-pressure relief valve that may not reseal properly after opening and leak slowly afterward.Refilling your own small propane bottles make sense if you use a lot of them. It costs about a dollar to refill a one-pound bottle yourself versus about $3.50 to buy a new one that you use once and throw away. And it is also a lot less wasteful. Anyone can buy cheap adapters to do that on Amazon.* From what I can tell, refiling your own one-pound propane bottles is legal if they are not used in "interstate commerce". So, don't trade or sell what you refill yourself. And, of course, be safe when refilling a bottle or using any camping stove!*There are two types, high-flow and low-flow, but they look the same. I recommend the high-flow MacCoupler version which doesn't have a flow restrictor built into it.
