We discovered Bug Soother several years ago and it's the only thing that has any effect on the no-see-ums, other than the chemical sprays that nobody wants to walk around wearing all day every day. This smells great, and while it won't stop every single bug bite it has certainly lessened the bites significantly for us.

Love this product, this was my second time buying it. I love that it is safe for kids and pets, great for when we are all at camp. You do have to apply it more frequent than the other stuff out there but that's a small negative for the better ingredients.

So far so good! Bugs love me and I react badly to their bites. So far this product seems to keep them away. This product smells great ... much preferable to more traditional products. Also easy to apply, even on toddlers. Thank you!

This stuff really works!! Might have to apply it more then once. We were bombarded by gnats. Sprayed this on and they were immediately gone. Pleasant smell.

I live in Connecticut and the mosquitoes and no-see-ums can be brutal. We discovered this product last summer and we're amazed that we can sit outside in the dark of night and not get one bug bite. I no longer have to pay to spray for mosquitoes! Highly recommend this product.

Im only giving it a 3 star for the fact that it does smell good. I live in a place that has really bad gnats. They don't bite but are VERY annoying. My grandchildren can't enjoy themselves outside because of them buzzing around there heads constantly. So far, I've had this for a week maybe and I've sprayed myself a lot and it hasn't helped any. Now, later in the summer we do get a few mosquitoes so hopefully this will help at least with them. I was really trying to stay away from the other things that have a lot of chemicals.

I have been using commercial and chemical-grade bug repellents this season and previously. This season, I could no longer stand the idea of spraying myself down with a chemical. What I have been using was in an aerosol can that smelled terrible, was not environmentally friendly, and was oily. Hence I had to look for a better solution, so I found BugSoother and was hopeful this approach would be better for me and the environment. Sadly, it just does not work for me.The reviews are accurate, it smells nice, and I like the idea of the handy spray bottles, which are better than a bulky can. Some user reviews here claim that no oily residue is left on your skin; I did not experience that. The site also claims no oily residue left behind; again not my experience. Even now, as I type this review, there is a sticky, weird feeling residue on my arms and legs. Also, the product site claims that the frequency of reapplication is typically 1 hour and can repel up to 10 hours. That's not the case here. I walk my dog, and when one bug or gnat appears, I spray all over, then less than 3 minutes later, they are back again, and this horrible attack continues until Sophie and I get back indoors.This product did not work for me; I am still being served up as an offering as a tribute to the bugs and gnats every time I walk out with or without this product. I do appreciate being able to return this product, and I do hope that my experience helps the organization look into why this did not work for me.
