Let this be your kid's first RipStik
My son got this on his 8th B'day. Before I bought this, I had looked at the Caster Board which my son found a little difficult to get on and get going. But as this is bit smaller, I was not sure if this will be too small for him or as this can take significantly lesser weight as compared to caster board, for how long he will actually be able to use it. Once this arrived, all my doubts were cleared. This my son found very easy to get on and in just about 3-4 hours of practice could do most of the things. In fact, this not just he, but also older kids who had the caster board, found to much more maneuverable and easy to control. He is using it for about a month now and the quality of RipStik is excellent. Absolutely no issues on any front. Now my son can do the Caster Board, Wave board, but he keeps coming back to his RipStik as he finds it to be most comfortable. The only time he does not likes it is when he is racing with his friends where the bigger Caster Board is an obvious winner. But otherwise, he loves moving on it and even inside the house, going from room to room.He practically uses it to go everywhere where he can/could go walking. And I think the compact size does helps. A great great product of extremely superior quality.

My grandson loves this!
My grandson just turned 8 It was one of his birthday gifts. He was frustrated he couldn't even stand on it . So... we pulled up a you tube video on how to use a rip stick. Thank goodness we found one .... he watched some of it... got up and kept trying . The video said...hold on to a wall . He did . Now...... Hes riding it like a champ! Hes even making it turn...and swivel ! Great gift! Just took a min to get delivered.

Good board
Why did you pick this product vs others?: The size is perfect for my 13 years old son. The material is strong and durable. It is a fun board to use outside.

Buy it!!
My 9 year old and 12 year old both LOVE riding their rip stick. It's amazing how quickly they learned to balance and use it. I bought one for Christmas for my oldest and then ended up buying a second one for my youngest son, so they could each have their own. Great product.

What a hoot to ride!
This is not easy to ride. The first couple of times could be the last if you're not careful; it is a slight trick to get going on it - the fact that this even rolls baffles me but once you ride it for a week or two, it is a total blast and highly addictive. it is easy to get the hang of it quickly. That said though. most kids wont ride it (Have had 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 14 yr olds all say no thanks to the offer to try it) so if buying for a present, i would only buy it for someone who already rides a skateboard, otherwise it will sit in the corner collecting dust. IMHO Could use some faster bearings in the wheels for more speed and smoother takeoff. I would recommend this to anyone looking for skateboarding-like fun and a little challenge.

My son loves it.
I almost broke my tailbone trying it out...and I used to skate. So it was a bit humbling. But get some speed and carve into it and it w9rks. This is sized for a kid and it was for my son and he's already a wiz at it. Not the most efficient way to ride, but it is very fun and you can carve almost like a snowboard, so that's a good time. Just know there is a learning curve, so don't give up on hour one. Even learning to ride a bike takes some time.

Great toy
I got this for my son's birthday and he LOVES it. He's really hard on it and it's still working great. It's not made cheap or it would have been broken by now as many times as he's slammed it into things. My son is 12 and just over 100 pounds so it's really durable.

Our RipStik is Housebroken!
This is our second ripstick--the first one my kid lost over a year ago. He forgot about the lost one but I didn't and I gave him a new one for Christmas. He was shakey at first when he started trying to use it again, and I wondered whether he would regain interest. Then on a rainy, cold day he realized he could ride it around in circles inside the house, moving through a circuit of rooms around the main floor. We have hardwood floors, so this is do-able. I have been inspecting he floors and do not see wear and tear yet--but I am obviously going to have to put a stop to it if I see scratches or a pattern of wear. I do think this would be better for a house with luxury vinyl planks or ceramic floors. He has steadily improved, only sometimes stumbling at floor transition spots or losing balance while executing a turn, making a loud banging and falling sound. He will gently cruise by me in the afternoons after school, sometimes even checking his phone while I am typing on my keyboard in my office (I tell him to stop). Sometimes he rides through and just talks a bit as he enters and before he exits.

Bought this for a grown up kid, who still uses it to this day. Great for people who longboard or skateboard and who live in a place where you can't do it year round. A good way to practice balance during winter months when the streets are wet and salty from all the snow. Now there is no reason to wait for summer to get back on a board. We use this inside our apartment, and it is pretty quiet, no one downstairs ever asks us what the weird noise is, so that's a plus. The only thing I can say about it is to make sure you clean the wheels if you live somewhere with a lot of hair, as it will pick up the hair and end up building up on the wheels. but this is easy to fix and clean. Good to use when your hurting to go longboarding but you can't.

Mes élèves du primaire l'adorent ! Un peu petite pour des adultes, mais convient très bien au 12 ans et moins. Très satisfaite de mon achat.
