Bookend Supports - Business Source - Black (6 Pairs, Small)

I bought these to support my CD's and DVD's. I specifically wanted smaller bookends for this purpose and these are perfect. They are practically the same height as the CD's, so they aren't noticeable at all on the shelf. They are thin, but the metal seems quite sturdy and would probably support much more weight than what I'm using them for. The bottom of each bookend is lined with a foam-rubber material, so it doesn't scratch the shelf and helps it to stay put. Note: the measurements listed on Amazon are a little off. Here are the actual measurements: Height-5 & 1/16 in., Width-4 & 11/16 in., Depth-5 & 1/4 in. I bought 6 pair and received 12 bookends. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would definitely buy these again.

These are very basic, standard sized bookends. They’re about the right size to hold a bunch of paperbacks in place and are sturdy enough to even be used for larger sizes like up to A5 comfortably.I use these on the shelves in a closet I have to organize and display quite a few things: a collection of blank notebooks to choose from in the future, finished notebooks, audio cassettes, and packages of guitar strings. You get six pairs of bookends per order which is a great deal for the price. Sure I could organize my shelves using only two bookends but I like to have separation between each category of book on my shelf so having that many is great and I still have some left over for when my collection of notebooks spills over to other shelves.

I sit in a type of chair that is similar to a recliner living room chair, but it doesn't recline. The arms of the chair have poofy fabric and at the ends of each arm is a wooden piece that curves from top to front of the chair.I wedged the bottom flap under the poofy fabric and allowed it to rest on the wood portion of the chair arm. Then adjusted the angle by applying slight pressure to the bookend until the bend gave my tablet the right position. The poofy part of the chair arm kept the tablet secure. I put one bookend on each arm.Now my chair has a way to display tablets. This proves useful for day trading when I need to watch multiple screens.

I remember a story father told me once of a time where there were no bookcases and all we had were cinder blocks and planks of wood. It was a dark time indeed, but alas, time has passed and the gods have bestowed upon us these fantastic products birthed from mountain ore from Mount Olympus itself. Father was awed by the extreme craftsmanship in these bookholders, as our tomes were held easily between the sturdy metal stands. Installation is an absolute breeze, which I'd rate at a definite 9/10 (I almost sliced myself with a stainless steel staple holding a pair together, but I am fine now). It holds not only tomes, but also records, VHS tapes, DVD's, Laserdiscs, Nintendo cartridges, Vinyl records, cereal boxes, and with some ingenuity can even hold other book holders. Does not contain small parts, but I would advise against giving smal children under 3 these since they may use them as weapons upon you or other family members. Does not include batteries, but that's ok because it doesn't need any (as far as I know). Updating and expanding is easy as sliding an object over. Although these are not decorated with RGB lighting, can still be outfitted with inexpensive light strips to bling out your shelves to your RGB-lover's content. Even though they're called bookends, they are definitely not the end to anything, except maybe to dull, and lackluster bookshelves.

This product is exactly as described. It is well made, sturdy, attractive, and highly functional. I use these to separate CD's on a shelf, and they work perfectly: very stable, not too high, and not too thick. I really like that the entire bottom surface is covered with a soft, scratch-free, non-slip material that protects the shelf and prevents sliding along the shelf. I would have preferred white over black, but otherwise these are perfect.

I was glad to find several sets of bookends for a reasonable price. They do their job well. I love the addition of the soft, non-slip padding on the bottom of the bookends. In addition to being non-slip, they protect my bookshelf from scuffing. While probably not the most stout you could buy, I have had no issues with them keeping books, large and small, in place. If you look closely, you might find some flaws in the enamel coating on a few, but they are minor and not noticeable unless you're really looking.

Exactly what we needed. Primary reason we ordered these particular sets of bookends was their smaller size. My son needed several to hold up video game boxes on the shelves of his game organizer, but they’re large enough and plenty sturdy to support larger hardback books on my bookshelves, too. Don’t worry about them looking too utilitarian — their slim profile is hardly visible on the shelf.

These bookends are small and light, and they don't take up space. Also, they don't slip. I got them to serve as dividers in crowded file drawers, and they work beautifully. The drawers don't accommodate hanging folders, but these bookends work just as well, or better. They also support books and papers on shelves.
