This product absolutely resolved my scalp psoriasis within a 2 week period. I have been struggling with resistant psoriasis for several years and prescription medications have not helped. Definitely recommend. There is a strong smell but well worth the results. Product cleans hair wonderfully.

I had severe dandruff and hadn’t found a solution that worked until trying this shampoo. The shampoo quality is very good. It stops the dryness, buildup and itchiness. It’s very potent, you will need a conditioner to restore the shine and nutrients to your hair. The only gripe is the smell. It smells like caster oil. This is the first time I purchased and will repeat purchase.

The product is amazing at a fraction of the price of big box brands. I also think it's great it's run by women. I will be a lifetime customer to support these women. The smell isn't too bad for coal tar but people need to realize coal is not a pretty smell at all but the product works incredibly well for psoriasis. I’ve been using True+Real Coal Tar Therapeutic Plus Tar Gel Anti-Dandruff Shampoo for a few weeks now, and it’s made a noticeable difference. This shampoo is effective at controlling my dandruff and scalp itchiness, which is something I’ve struggled with for a while. You get a generous 16 fl. oz. bottle, which lasts a long time, especially since a little goes a long way. I used MG217 original formulation for over 10 years. They then changed the packaging and dispensing method for a reformulation that they said had the same amount of coal tar and the same effectiveness. I first used the new product in December 2023. It was apparent right away that it was not the same and did not work as well anymore. Toward the end of 2024, after reading another Amazon review, I ordered a bottle of coal tar to mix with the new MG217. This improved the results but it was a somewhat messy and more expensive solution. Continuing my search I recently found True+Real Coal Tar Therapeutic shampoo. My experience so far is that it works at least as well as the original MG217. I shampoo every other day and have no itching or other symptoms at all.

Great product. I used Nutrogena T-Gel for years, actually decades. I decided to try T&R T-Plus when I saw it had the same ingrediants, in the same portion amounts and for a much lower price.Could not be happier.

Had T-Gel recommended to me once ages ago as a kid for my dandruff. Lately head and shoulders has not been cutting it, so I went on the hunt for the T-gel I used to use. Somehow the brand stuff (Neutrogena I guess) is just outrageously priced and isn't widely available anymore from what I could find, so I landed on this product. Worked wonders after first use, just like I remember from my younger days when I used it. Still has the ick smell, so I just use some scented shampoo after use with this and then my hair smells fine. I use this about once every week or two for some dandruff patches on the front of my scalp and it keeps it in check.

Great, effective shampoo! Will buy again. The worst thing about this is the top. Dispensing the shampoo is so difficult and extremely messy. Shampoo oozes from all around the push tab, making it slippery and hard to handle. Because of the poorly designed and flimsy push-in top, you wind up wasting the product. My only solution was to put the shampoo in a $1 plastic squeeze bottle. Not wasting product and is much easier to use.
