Golchin Saffron Liquid, 8.45 Ounce

Not having saffron on hand for someone who loves Persian cooking is like being a Picasso without the right paint and brushes. The hard part of using dry saffron is preparing the strands by dissolving them in hot water. This is always a chore and not as simple as it sounds. The Golchin liquid saffron makes a cook's life easy because it is ready to go as it comes in a bottle. The liquid is easy to add to a variety of dishes and even drinks such as hot tea for example. I sometimes add it to butter before frying eggs and in all Persian dishes that call for saffron in the recipe. Saffron of course has its prominent place in producing the wonderful aromas and flavors of Persian dishes, not to mention the beautiful natural color it adds to most dishes. Try it for making a crispy rice tahdig by mixing a little oil with saffron at the bottom of the rice pot for a naturally colorful and aromatic tahdig that is delicious. Great product at a reasonable price.

You can't beat it. I'm not a Persian, but my husbands family is. I like that I can just add a bit in here and there to a rice dish and it's a lot less work than dealing with regular saffron. I first discovered this while living in CA, but since relocating it's worth it to pay to have it shipped to me. An excellent product and lasts a long time. I think I used about half a bottle in a years time.

This product smells like plastic and has so much Yellow #5 and Yellow #6 that just handling the bottle is enough to stain your fingers yellow. Extremely disappointing. Saffron is such a simple and delicate flavor and they've completely ruined it here. The dye and plasticky flavor make cooking with it so unpleasant. Do not buy. You'll need to go to a proper Persian store or just buy some dry saffron. This product is awful and I regret the purchase.

Liquid saffron makes it convenient to add this dimension to food. Great flavor, lasts for many dishes. I have a piece of paper towel to wipe the top after pouring because hey, saffron is a dye.

The stuff is easy to use, but it doesn't have teh same flavor and smell of the real thing. However, I keep using it because it is convenient and reasonable priced.

It's a very convenient form of saffron. I use it for my pilafs often. No needs to grind and brew.

Since I use lots of saffron in my food, This made it easy to for me.

The color was so light I added my own saffron in it. I bought it for the convenience and price but I was disappointed
