What it doesn’t say in the description.
This product worked well. The only reason I purchased it was because it has been a long time since I had to charge an A/C system on one of my vehicles and I was afraid that the old hose assembly I had wouldn’t work with the new style of self sealing can. Turns out, it says on the package it will work on self sealing cans and on the older style of cans that require a puncture to open. Had I known that,(not stated in the product description) I would have just used my old analog gauge hose assembly and saved 20 bucks. Not sure how long the battery is going to last in storage since I can’t take it out or replace it without damaging the device. Next time I need it, it probably won’t work because the battery died.

Great Value!
For the price, this recharger was a great value! I needed to quickly recharge the a/c in my wife's car and it worked extremely quickly. The product comes with great instructions to follow and the connection stayed secure throughout. I've used the product three times since I purchased it and the third time I used it, there was some leakage. It wasn't anything major however it was noticeable. It didn't affect the recharging process at all, as far as I could tell at least. Overall, I'd recommend this product!

Finally a digital gauge that works
Had 2 of the A/C Pro manual gauge system , both gave incorrect & false readings. It caused one of the car’s a/c system to failed due to overfilling & caused $$$ to repair. This digital version is a big improvement and gives consistent readings. Spend a few extra dollars & get this one instead . Do not overfill the Freon close the max line.Min. to mid points are ideal. It’s not the more the better, otherwise why buy a gauge . It’s to avoid overfilling that caused a/c to fail.

Quick connect did not seal around the service port
Two main flaws with the one that I received. First off, and most importantly, the quick connect did not seal around the A/C service port. That was noticed right away, after connecting it to see how much pressure the system had. Loved the digital display, and I have every reason to believe that it was accurate. Next, piercing the can with the finger lever was nearly impossible. It just didn't extend far enough, really. After a few attempts of removing the can and reattaching it, tighter each time, it finally pierced it. I was afraid I was tightening the can to the gauge to the point that the plastic gauge was going to break. Everything seemed good at that point, other than the small leak at the service port. The one can I used with this was essentially wasted as it boiled off/evaporated somewhere between the connection to the gauge and the service port. The pressure in the system was actually 7 psi lower after attempting to charge it with one can. Afterwards I used my old charging hose, and separate gauge, to add a can to the A/C system. I was hopeful that this new unit would save me the inconvenience of of switching between my charging hose and my gauge to see how much I've added to the system. There are other charging hose and analog gauge sets out there for the same price that have less plastic parts than this unit, and will likely do the job without leaking.

Didn't engage the valve 100%.
I had to physically push down on the adapter for the freon to be introduced into the system. If I didn't, it only charged the line. Took a few minutes to diagnose what was going on before inwas able to figure out the fitting didn't fully engage the low side valve. Took twice as long to charge due to my finger getting rather cold.
