The water in my bathroom was tasting like plastic recently. I finally investigated (took me a couple of years to get motivated) and it turns out I have Polybutylene connections between my copper supply and the faucet. Seemed like this was the only possible source of the plastic taste and smell so I replaced the Polybutylene (plastic) pipes with these braided hoses. YES it worked and the plastic taste is gone now. I really should have done this years ago. Theses hoses connected nicely. I installed them as tight as I could by hand and then tightened them lightly but firmly with a crescent wrench. Don't over tighten them and no tape or putty is needed. I placed a water leak alarm near the area in case I made a mistake but it all looks real good! I also replaced the 30 year old shut-off valves with push-on quarter turn valves. I am happy with all of this. AND THE WATER TASTES GOOD NOW!

Works fine. Have had it installed for over a month, but not used a lot. I don't anticipate any problems with it.

Worked well for my sink application seem to be a good quality. The rubber seal seem to be good.
