Great Phones!
Albeit took a while to set up and took a while to understand all the functions, but these work great!

Sound Quality is what I was looking for.
Overall very happy with the phone. Sound quality is good from all 3 head sets, which is the main problem I was looking to solve but sounds better if volume setting is set 1 below max level. Last set I bought from different manufacturer had 3 out of 5 headsets with good sound quality brand new. I like the look and how the Gigaset phone fits in my hand. You have to go through a screen to get to volume control which is why I put 3 stars. Guess I am just used to pushing a button on the handset up and down to control the volume, which other manufacturers have. Yes, you have to download the instructions for any real detail about the phone, but it is simple by both typing in the web address or using your cell phone camera of the data matrix to go directly to the website. Made in Germany is a plus in my opinion. 5 star rating because it is exactly what I expected for a phone set in this price range and the sound quality if better than my past phone sets.Update: The phones are slow to respond when pushing buttons, when pushing speaker phone. Didn't think this would bother me but after only a week or so with the phones this does get annoying. With everything digital and immediate with the push of a button, this seems like very old technology with its lag time. Phone still works fine, sound quality good, but the delay with the buttons can get to you.

Overly Complex and Poorly Executed
This item took over a month to receive and having used it awhile, I should have cancelled it before it shipped. The design is overly complex and it was impossible to get the answering machine to work properly. There are simpler and notably cheaper phones that will do the job better than this one.

Good material quality
The quality of the material is good, it's lightweight, the manual is simple detailed and easy. The only complaint it's the quality of the sound, I have very sensitive ears and the sound in calls is distorted both on speakerphone and normal, most of the time I'm trying to guess what the other person is talking about because of the distortion of the sound. It's like the quality of the speakers is very cheap. Also some times I have headaches because of the noise that hurt my ears.

Handsome but kind of dumb
I bought this to replace a fading Panasonic KX-PRW130W design phone (rest in peace) which had a similar display but did a better job of using it. The fonts on this model are less readable, particularly the one used for the digital clock display (which isn't legible even a few feet away). This handset's voice quality is a small step down but the overall build quality is a step up. I do like the solid feel of this phone and it is perfectly serviceable for the few times I use my landline. The answering machine can do some dumb things like allowing spam callers to record completely blank messages (the phone should just toss them). And common operations like deleting messages in bulk can be strangely complicated. I also miss talking caller ID more than I thought I would. I'm satisfied with this phone but if I had to do it all over again I would probably pick up a Panasonic with talking caller ID and just learn to live with the ugly display.

Excellent Phone
I purchased this Gigaset 552A to replace an older AT&T cordless phone set. The microphone was going and it was hard for callers to hear me. So sound quality reviews were a big reason I was attracted to the 552A. It is an excellent phone trio set. Fantastic sound quality which is clear for the callers and loud enough for the receivers. Easy to setup, the buttons are easy to read and well lit. The analog clock display option screen saver is a work of art. Well satisfied with this purchase.
