Lightweight, yet powerful. Easton speed Brigade S150 -10 USA bat is made from ALX50 military grade aluminum for high performance and dependable durability. The -10 balanced design, with a 2-1/4 inch barrel, has a fast swing weight for added power on contact, delivering the pop and performance you expect from Easton.

Good entry level
Bat is fine for the price, and meets the new standards that everyone was scrambling to find something for. I didn't want to pay a lot till we knew what was what, so this fit the bill. The bat feels heavier than it should for the size, a balance issue I imagine. The end is rounded convex, not concave like higher quality bats are. Likewise, the barrel is relatively thin, as you would expect in the low end price range. That said, my son (7) is swinging smoother than he was with his old bat. After seeing what his teammates have, I'd probably skip this entry level and go for something around double the price, sub 100. I think it's probably worth it to get the wider barrel and better balance. We have a few guys with 300 dollar bats that don't seem much different than the 80 dollar versions.

Much heavier than listed!
We bought a 30"/20oz bat. When it arrived it felt heavier than expected, so I weighed it. It was 22.38 oz. Since bats are specifically designed and sold for their size/weight ratio, I'm pretty disappointed. A drop -10 is appropriate for the age/size/strength of my child, but this would be less than -8, which is not appropriate. This is getting returned and I will have to order something different.Edit - apparently the weight discrepancy is an issue with all 2018 USA bats because in the new standard the weight only refers to the shell whereas in the previous standard it was the whole bat. I'm upgrading my rating to a 3 since this is still towards the top of the allowed difference to meet the standard. We ended up going with an Easton S350 which is rated at 19oz and has an actual weight of 20.5 oz in order to get the proper weight my son needed.

Go with this to start it’s perfect and I’m not crying.
Good affordable starting bat. I could not imagine spending 200 on a bat, to watch my poorbaby boy swinging and missing this season. I don’t know much about baseball but I do know it can be way slow boring and expensive. When you lr kid start hitting the ball consistantly then go for broke but until then this is a good league approves bat.

Someone at Easton dropped the ball on quality control!
This bat is really a lot heavier than it should be. My son is 8 and a half, 60 lbs and 52", so we bought a 29/19. His (brand new, ugh at the change in bat standards!) BPF1.15 bat last year was a 29/16 and was getting light for him by the end of the season, but the length was great so we figured that a drop 10 on the same length would be fine. Nope, not with this bat. I don't have a scale to measure accurately enough, but if this bat is anywhere near or under 20 oz I would be very surprised. Seeing others that have weighed one here in the reviews, I'm inclined to agree that it's at least 22-23 oz. I'm now shopping for another bat for this year, and definitely looking at another brand so I can be sure my kid can swing it. This will probably be fine in a couple years, if he continues playing and they don't change the bat standard again, thus two stars for future use...

Great size, hold. I use for protection🤗
This will be a strange review as I am in my 70s and bought this for protection in my house at the advice of police in our town for protection for those who don’t want guns. I love its light weight and fact it fits my hand. Bought another also to keep in bedroom. ( and I guess it would be able to have double duty for visiting grandchildren🤗)

Good entry level bat
This is a pretty good bat for someone starting out playing baseball. Inexpensive for the brand, no dents yet, used spring and fall season. Got the bat for my son, but other guys on the team used it regularly.

I'm sure this is a fine bat. I've never had a quality issue with Easton. But the bat I purchased is significantly heavier than claimed. I purchased the 29in/19 oz. version. It says so on the bat itself. When we received it, it felt heavy. We weighed it on my scientific scale and it weighed just shy of 22 oz. That's a large difference for little league. For comparison I weighed our other (older) Easton bats. All weighed exactly as claimed.
