Good quality.
Very handy little device! I use it when doing stained glass, an extra "hand" comes in handy!

Provided hex tool
Tool works great. My only complaint is the provided hex tool. It was round on both ends. You will need your own.

Handy Tool with Useful Magnification
This helping hand tool is great for small electronics, soldering, or craft projects. The adjustable arms hold components securely, and the magnifying glass provides clear close-up visibility for detailed work. The build feels sturdy enough for light to medium tasks, though the base can be a bit wobbly with heavier items. The magnifier is helpful but not as large as some may prefer for intricate work. Overall, a practical and useful tool for hobbyists and DIYers. Solid performance for the price, with minor limitations on stability and magnification.

A must-have for hobbyists!
Robust, heavy-duty clips and supporting structure. Thios unit is heavy enough to be used in various places for light duty soldering. I clamped mine to the workbench for soldering on some heavier components to prevent movement or tipping. A very valuable helper for more than just soldering, form instance holding two thin pieces of wood together while the glue dries. An excellent value for the price!

Works fine, but can't remove the battery. Support iffy.
Not sure how to rate this. The unit works just fine, but I can't remove the battery and Neiko Support isn't making things any easier. I wrote to their support system twice. The first time they wanted the model number even though I described what I'd purchased (using the exact name of the gun, which is unique in their catalog), so I wrote back with the number. Their response was to try to remove the battery by pressing the button and pulling it out "at an angle." This didn't work, so now they want me to telephone them. A problem with twenty dollar item shouldn't require this much work to remedy.

Excellent Helping Hands with Value
This helping hand stand has been a great addition to my workbench. The magnifying glass gives a clear close up view of solder joints or small parts, and the alligator clips hold pieces securely in place while I work. The arms adjust easily and stay where I set them without drooping. The heavy base keeps everything stable, even when I’m working on slightly larger components. It’s also useful for jewelry repairs and model work, not just electronics. The overall build feels solid and reliable for the price. A simple but incredibly useful tool that makes precision tasks so much easier. Genuinely, I used to solder by using my hands to hold wires in the most uncomfortable positions... and it took me forever. It's fast af now and can't recommend this more.

Why did I wait so long?
I was always struggling to hold two wires in place to join them by soldering. I always needed two more hands, the wife was always fussing about holding wires for me. This little gadget was a sanity saver. Further, being retired and having older eyes these days the magnifier was an added hoot. Holds wires together or small boards while helping me see what I'm working on. The adjustable joints tighten pretty good keeping the arms where you put them. The base is heavy enough to hold small items. A large board might tip the stand but not got to anything that large yet. A table clamp might steady the stand even further. Wish I had gotten one of these long ago. Recommended for those that do a lot of soldering and need four hands.

Very small and moves too much
I think I bought the wrong product. I am doing miniature houses and these clamps are damaging to the pieces. Also very small and it spins around while you're trying to glue something. I don't know if it needs to be clamped down but I can't have it moving while I'm working.
