HHIP 5071-4208 3 x 1/8 x 1" High Speed Steel Plain Slitting Saw

My adult son always has these types of blades varying sizes on his Amazon Wish List - I surprise him with one every so often along with other gifts and to go with his tool collection.

3 x 1/32 x 1 I had to cut aluminum heatsink material (for 50 pieces) to length. Using a few dabs of green Anchor Lube on both sides of the blade these cut beautifully. Final cut of the aluminum was a mirror finish better than the factory cut on the other end of each heatsink. The Anchor Lube kept things cool, slick and smooth while cutting. A cream lube like this works great with a slitting saw because it is a cream not a liquid, and its water based so when some of it flies off the saw at startup it's less of a mess and the parts just wash up with Dawn soap. Cant say how these blades work with steel, but with aluminum they work great. I custom machine aluminum heatsinks for electronics and never got such a fine glass cut until now.

Does not come with a 1/4 inch keyway. Will require modification to use with keyed shafts.

if the thickness of the cut matters dont use this blade the 5 inch blade I got had a 1/16 inch wooble to it.
