This is a great option for replacing the hood lift strut on a 2015 Audi A4. It is the perfect length and strength. Installation is really easy as it has metal tabs around the mounts to attach (instead of a pin clip as seen on other struts) and the whole swap can be done in 5 minutes. My strut was blown so I would struggle to even open the hood. My first pic shows my hood being held up by a broomstick with the dead strut, the second one is the A-Premium strut installed. On my last photo here, you can see how it is strong enough to pop the hood up slightly whereas a dead strut would leave it sealed. It allows for nicer ease of closing and is well worth the price.

The lift support on my 2011Audi A4 gave out and instead of just propping it up with a wooden stick I purchased this lift support. It was easy to install (instructions on the Amazon website not in or on the box it came in), essentially just aligning it to the existing car sockets, loosening the two retaining bands one at a time at either end, fitting it on one, resetting the retention band and then fitting the other. I just installed it so don't know about how long it will last but it seems to be very durable and since my car is 15 years old, I expect it will outlive the car. My car only had one lift support so did not need to buy two as the website suggested may be required.

If your looking to buy this for an single strut operator hood, then is is the one . Bought for my Audi A4 and its still working to date no issues. Hood close normally the length is normal, which makes it easy to open and close. I would recommend this product as value for money as its able to hold a very heavy bonnet open with good stability.

Helped fix a hood issue on a 2016 Audi A4. Install was a breeze. Save yourself money from going to the dealer and fix it yourself.

Installed in 15 minutes on my 2009 Audi A4 Quattro sedan using a small screwdriver to pry open the clips. The original part was made in Germany I believe this part is made in China. The overall length of the strut fully extended was the same but the body was slightly shorter on this unit by about 1 inch as shown in the photograph. Can’t speak to longevity but I’ll be happy if it last half as long as the original part (~12 years).

It took almost 25 seconds to replace my failed hood strut in my 20112 Audi A4 with this new one. I threw the 2x4 behind the bushes because this strut works perfectly. There is nothing more satisfying than lifting the hood with 2 fingers and letting go and not waking up 12 minutes later smashed between the radiator and the hood latch. Money well spent.
