these stakes are much less expensive than those from the edging brand I used, and mostly do the job better. Nice and sturdy, go in easy, wide enough to stay put. My only problem was with the width of the top, wide enough for the ends of my edging, but lacking a bit in the middles. I am going to try cutting off the lip. I would (will) buy more. Would have given 4 1/2 stars.

Easy to use and holds up well.

I was looking for something to stake down my tarp in the backyard and my friend suggested this product. When they arrived I immediately began the big stakedown...which was over in 60 seconds. I figured these would also help with my pop-up greenhouse and they were perfect. I took away the pieces of wood and bricks I had used to stabilize it and now everything is nicely tied down (staked) and the wind is no longer a threat.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED AND WAS LOOKING FOR!! I USED THESE WITH GORILLA GLUE AND MY GRAVEYARD GRAVES FOR HALLOWEEN. THEY USUALLY COME WITH REAL FLIMSY STAKES SO I DECIDED TO GLUE THESE 10 INCH STAKES AND THEY WORKED PERFECTLY MY GRAVEYARD IS STILL STANDING AFTER RAIN AND WIND! ALTHOUGH I SHOULD HAVE MADE THE STAKES BE SHORTER SINCE MY YARD HAS ROCKS RIGHT UNDER 6 INCHES OF DIRT. FOR MY SPECIFIC YARD I SHOULD OF POSITIONED THEM TO BE 2 1/2 INCHES INTO THE DIRT. I SHOULD HAVE ONLY DONE ONE GRAVE AND TESTED IT AFTER IT DRIED IN MY YARD FIRST!

These stakes are too short, too flimsy, and the worst thing is that the hook at the top is too wide and not long enough to hold the border in place. I'm constantly having to pull them out and put them back in the ground to straighten out the edging, which defeats the whole purpose. I will look for some actual metal ones next time. Not worth the money.
