great!
Another winner from Soeos! An unigue Chinese flavoring.AROMA: moderate citrus smell. Not over-whelming.TASTE: Bold and strong! Heavy citrus and 'piney' flavors.EFFECT: Lots of tingle and numbness.HEAT: Doesn't have "heat" like some might expect. It is really not from a 'pepper'.Seems to be a good quality oil. Not meant to be a 'cooking oil' it's really just a 'finishing oil' But before you order some I suggest one might taste some first before ordering a whole bottle so you will know what to expect. It is definitely different! I can't wait to experiment with this in various recipes!

Strong, Potent Peppercorn & Pine Numbing Flavor!
This is exactly the secret ingredient to my homemade ramen. The flavor is a cooling, numbing & pine-flavored heat. The local shop adds szechuan peppercorn oil to their broth and I've been trying to find this stuff for a while. This oil is incredibly potent and you only need a few drops mixed in to your soup bases prior to cooking. It adds an incredibly complex heat to Asian meat & seafood dishes, but especially soups and ramens. Include some of this oil with some pepper seed oil, into rendered pork/chicken fat and szechuan chili flakes and you have a complex umami, cooling-heat flavor. I highly recommend it, but please understand the flavor profile of szechuan peppercorn prior to purchasing as it's not for everyone.

Be ready to have something in your pantry unused
This tastes great, amazing packaging, and is a great product. Nothing is wrong with the product at all. Sadly, good luck finding any recipes that use it - you're gonna have to figure out how to use it on your own. Maybe you're into that, but just a fair warning to anyone who enjoys authentic recipes and following instructions from trained experts. If you're the kinda person that just throws random things together and likes to experiment, it's for you, but even then - this is a BIG bottle. I'd suggest the manufacturer make this bottle significantly smaller.

Home Run
I love the flavor of Chinese pepper corns and this oil ROCKS! My son-in-law fell in love with it so I had to place a second order. Great to add to coconut oil when popping popcorn, or frying an egg. If flavor is your thing... gotta try this stuff.

Tasty and tingly
Im not a connoisseur of sichuan pepper oil but this has the taste and the tingle I expected. A little goes a long way! The bottle is attractive and it came well packed in a nice box, so it would make a good gift for someone who likes the sensation of sichuan peppercorns. Will definitely buy again when I use this up, which will take a while.

Not what you're expecting in the least.
If 0 stars was an option, that would be my rating. I don't know if what i received was a knockoff or what, but it was horrible. First off, the ingredients on the bottle said canola oil, not colza oil as stated - and tasted that way. Second, the oil was not spicy in the least, but tasted like old dust with a hint of rotten lemon (not even joking). Several drops of this stuff completely ruined a pot of ramen I made. Finally, the whole bottle was terrible quality and leaked oil all over the place. Possibly one of the worst purchases I have made on Amazon. I was so excited for it too.

Not a flavor for everyone
I can’t comment on the quality because this is the first time I’ve tried it. But if you read that New York Times article about how this is some fabulous savory spicy flavor to add to your repertoire, it didn’t exactly live up to what I was expecting. It tastes like a pine tree got angry.
