100% THE BEST FEEDER...EVER! 100% Satisfied
This is an edit to my original review due to dispensed portion size. It's confusing in the app that it reads 1/12cups and I understood that to be 1 feed out of 12 cups, when I discovered, it's actually 1/12th of a cup (ie: to dispense 1 cup of food, you need to do 12/12 cup manual feeds). Still kinds of wonky, but workable. I wish the hopper had multiple slots for dumping food. The portions are sporadic in quantity. The dual bowl splitter to separate the morsels to go into each dish is a gimmick and one dish always gets more than the other (despite changing the splitter positions). Setup was easy - like SUPER EASY! I ordered a different brand and got it the nite before I ordered this one. The other one was CHEAP and it wouldn't connect after 2.5 hours of trying and married to a system tech so it wasn't 'user error', hence the reason I decided to go with 'the big rater' out there and glad I did. The video quality is SUPERB!! live stream is amazing. Downside, you can either pay for a subscription to store videos and images, or buy an SD card. This isn't disclosed until you've unpackaged it, set it up and are within the app when that page pops up. I have an SD card, and signed up for a subscription - I wasn't totally 'sure' that all video's would save on the card so played it safe.Sound quality is awesome and the nite vision is absolutely amazing. I wish the food tank was vacuum sealed like on another PetLibro model. All in All, I am super, super happy with this and it will allow me to have some peace while on my first vacation in 10 years. Husband will be home with the kitties, but I can't 'trust' him that he'll fill their bowls before he leaves for work in the morning or at nite before bed - sad really - so this will give me the ability to keep my babies fed and KNOW they'll get food! THANK YOU PETLIBRO!!! Highly recommended!!!

Easy to set up the feeder and the app
This is my favorite cat feeder so far.The hopper holds a 3.5lb bag of dry food perfectly. It is fairly easy to tell when it is getting low.The cats have enough room so they can both eat with plenty of space. The camera is good enough to see the cats and make sure they are eating. I've tried the camera while I'm away from the house and it helped me not worry that the cats were getting enough food. The camera works well enough to see the cats at nighttime as well. The app was easy to set up on an iPhone. The interface seems intuitive. It has a lot of granularity on how much to dispense. The speaker on the feeder isn't very loud but as soon as it triggers the cats will come bolting from any room in the house. The only cons I have are:1) The food doesn't dispense evenly, one side always seems to get more. This isn't a problem for my cats but is worth mentioning.2) The app can be a little noisy with how many notifications it sends. It is sending notifications for sound alerts but those are usually people walking by. I'm hoping to figure out how to quiet that down without missing any cat related notifications.3) The video is grainier than the listing implied it would be. But it is still clear enough to check on the cats and the food dispensing.4) The app doesn't seem to pick up on low food warnings. It requires visually inspecting the feeder. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a lack of a feature. While it would be nice, the cats are very quick to let me know if they didn't get a meal. I double check it is full to the top before we will be away and make sure the cat sitter knows to check it.

Great feeder, works as advertised but they need to work on the technology side
The feeder works as promised, and delivers the food to mt two kitties on schedule. They hear the feeder activate, and they go running. Easy set up and it notifies you when food is low. But there are some minor irritations that made me drop a star. It keeps saying âerror saving to cloud,â when I try to view videos and âaccount expired,â when I open the app and I have to log in again. Like I said, mild irritations, but annoying nonetheless.

It works good
Have to give couple weeks to see how it goes but so far cats donât have problems with it. I got the double bowl and camera with 5L.I would definitely get the bigger one 5L. Have to see how long that last with 2 cats. The camera works and is free no subscription required unless you want backup online. Other reviews make it sound like you have to get subscription to see camera. You get live view and notification for free. The amount of cat food dispensed starts at 1/12 of a cup. That very small amount, so you want 1 cup you have to set the app to 12/12. The app lets to set up to 4 cups of food to be dispensed at 1 time.Racoon proof first night. I have raccoons that come on porch at night eat left over cat food. So with the feeder I set to only put out as much food as the cats will eat. The thing holds like 8 pounds of cat food. The raccoons were looking at the feeder but have not tried to get inside or knock top off. The top cover were you fill it up has lock. I believe the dispenser is canât be reached with paws.Update- Had it for 5 days and I tried dispensing 2 cups in morning and itâs to much food at one time. I got warning about clogged dispenser chute. That was not problem because the cat eat the food in bowls and the extra food fell into bowls. Now I just dispense 1 cup 6:30am. The cats eat that and dispense another 1/2 cup(6/12 cup in app) at 8:30am. Then dispense 1/2 cup at 2 pm and 1/2 cup at 6:30pm. Thatâs 4 events per day. In the app you can have up to 6 feeding per day.The 2 bowl 5L uses the PETLIT PRO app(there is lite version for other feeders) the Pro app has many settings and notifications you can turn off if you want. Feeding two cats I can probably get 5-7 day with the 5L unit. I should have filled it up to very top first time. I had another stray cat showed up and I did manual feed for him from app.It did disconnect from WiFi 2 time for about 1 hour but it reconnected automatically. I had two firmware updates from the app also. The camera has lots of white out in daytime.
