Purchased this product for my front door after already owning the U-Bolt Pro Series for my mudroom door. Worked great for about 2 years but then recently it stopped working electronically all of a sudden. I reached out to customer support and after a few rounds of troubleshooting, they were able to quickly send me a replacement. I've had 0 issues with my other lock so I'm inclined to believe this malfunction was a one-off. Build quality has always seemed top-notch and the app is easy to use. However the speedy responses and help from their customer support left me wanting to leave this review. 10/10 would recommend

This is an effective and easy to install lock, and also has good customer support. After several months of use I experienced a malfunction with my lock - U-Bolt was quick to reply and send out a replacement unit. Hopefully my issue was an uncommon one, but it's good to know if defects come up the company helps customers get their problem resolved in a timely manner.

I went all in and bought three of these locks for my home. Liked the genesis of this lock and company an want to love it. Before I installed them I had the cylinders changed to match my home keys. Easy to install. Seemed easy to get up and running and then real life comes in.Locks just lost communication for some time. You can lock/unlock them by entering the code but cannot see them on the app. Got them talking again and saw that there were two firmware updates available (they were fully updated just after installation a couple weeks ago). Have now been trying for two days to get the firmware updates installed. System tells me it was successful then ten minutes later shows that it was not updated. Communication keeps dropping. I have a mesh wi-fi network with hubs throughout my house.Additionally, the app is terrible. You have to click on each lock to lock/unlock it or even see it's status. You need to be able to see the status of each lock on my account as soon as you open the app. Having to click on each lock to check status one at a time is ridiculous. Most people have more than one door and if you are buying into this concept, you will have multiple locks. A home page with status of all your locks at a quick glance is absolutely necessary.As I had the cylinders changed, I assume I cannot return these locks without having to pay another $150 to have them changed back to the original key. I am very unhappy with these locks and cannot recommend them to anyone.I hope that the company can get things sorted out.

This is our first smart lock and overall, we are happy. We ended up buying a second one for a short term rental. The physical install is simple if you have ever installed a deadbolt lock. The software install was also simple. The main issue during programming is to make sure you are on a 2.4 GHz frequency on your router. If you are using your phone, you may need to go into your settings and connect to 2.4 GHz. If you are on the 5 GHz frequency, it will not work.Other Pros:- You can program multiple entry codes for residents, contractors, and cleaning staff, to include with limited time frames.- Most programming can be done remotely. I can add codes anytime.- I can add tenants and it will send codes and invites to them.- Battery longevity is good and it notifies you when they are getting low.Cons:- Initial programming must be done in-person. Whoever installs the lock has to have the master code to conduct initial programming.- The auto unlock is worthless. We have never been able to get it to work correctly.- The auto lock is great but gets glitchy when you extend the time. It can be adjusted from 30 seconds to 4 minutes but seems to not work at times when I mess with the time settings. It has been good lately so that may have been addressed with a recent software update.Most issues I have had have been solved by simply removing a battery and reinstalling it. For the most part, I am happy.

App works well enough. I wish I could add more fingerprints per user. My workaround is to add another user for yourself and add your additional prints there.The product works consistently and solidly.Batteries lasted 3 years. I have add the Ultrloq for 3.5 years. I love not ever having to bring a door lock key with me.The finger print recognition works well. Just remember that just like a smartphone and other fingerprint devices, you can have issue reading your finger prints if your fingerprints are modified from things you do that can smooth them or distort them like sanding something, laboring tools, salting the walkway without gloves, hands very dry. That's why I love the security of the key pad always available and it works every time for me.

My first dealings with a wi-fi lock.....worked great while in the house that the lock was installed in. got to our other house and started having issues. tech support is ZERO. luckily for me there are good folks on here. but one issue i am still having is the lock ALWAYS shows unlocked....been waiting for 3 days for u-tec to respond. one thing I wish i could do is make copies of the the key. there are 4 of us and only 2 keys.Lock worked this morning and dead tonight. Did everything the troubleshooting guide said to do. Submitted help request to tech support. Lock has not even been installed 3 months. I hope they have a good warranty.

Easy to setup and easy to used.Also looks good.Recently I had a problem with wifi connection, contacted tech support and they took care of me. Now the wifi is stable again.
