Romel “RO” Welton a.k.a. romel-Lo was born in Leland, MS. Romel started singing at the very young age of 8 yrs. Old. Ro’s talent was hidden due to other vocalist in the the church choir, until the choir director heard RO singing at a fund raiser. RO eventually joined a young 4 boy gospel group named Cork Junior, that toured the Mississippi Delta from Chicago, St. Louis to Ohio, Texas. RO decided to make a change from Gospel to R&B, with the support of his father, Kevin “Caviar” Reeves and long-time friend MVM – C.E.O. John Laws, RO has started a career that has lead him to be pursued by such companies as Sony, Tommy Boy, Def Jam and Elektra. RO has opened for such groups as Jaheim, K-Ci & JoJo, Dru-Hill, Ruff-Ends, Three 6 Mafia, Mystikal and LaChat. RO could promise to be the next big thing.
