I purchased this powder to try out compared to version offered by smooth-on. This powder is much less expensive than theirs, so I figured it would be worth a shot to know for sure what the quality would be. I ran several castings from a mold for this purpose and each one of them came out as described. In the image, the the statue on the left is Bronze, straight from the mold, un-polished. The statue on the right is Bronze powder after a light polish with steel wool. Very, very pleased with the results.

Item exactly as described! Having never used any metal powders for cold casting before, I didn't want to drop $40 on a pound of material from some of the bigger name brands, so I grabbed a pound of this instead. The product is great and is relatively painless to use, assuming you have some idea of what you are doing. I can't imagine the other brands being any better quality than this stuff. My only complaint is the packaging. A zipper sandwich bag 'works', but holy crap you're leaving a lot of room for disaster by shipping this stuff that way. Also, it's not the easiest thing to get dust out of, you know? The containment method isn't worth the product losing a star, but I'd definitely pay a couple extra dollars to have this stuff shipped in a real container that can be stored on a shelf. Definitely will be ordering more from this seller.

Used it for dusting silicone molds for cold casting resin helmets. Worked great!
