History Is Playing Tricks
Remember the old Alka-Seltzer commercials? "Plop plop, fiz fizz, oh what a relief it is..." Yes, the good old days when, if you had an upset stomach, Alka-Seltzer was there for you. But what happened? Plain old Alka Seltzer is now just glorified drinkable asprin. ASPRIN? Seriously, read the box. It says nothing about acid indigestion or heartburn. For some unexplained reason, regular old Alka-Seltzer is now for headaches. As a result, I have to buy "Extra Strength" which, wait for it, is a completely different product with completely different ingredients targeted directly at indigestion or heartburn. What?? Shouldn't it be the original version just ... uh... STRONGER? Extra strength? No, says them, you need a completely different ailement for these babies. So, we have extra strength which isn't a stronger version of the original product or even the regular product they sell. But, alas, it does a good job I suppose. You don't have to have a headache about it. This stuff works as good as it did in the 1950's even though they're playing tricks on you with their mysterious product swaps. Do what I did and throw the original stuff in the trash.
