Memory Recipes
Nice to see recipes that were used by my mother and aunts in years gone by. Now to have those recipes to bring back memories.

Fun read and inspiring
This retro cookbook was a fun read and a great addition to my collection. I recognize many of the dishes as foods I have eaten, and in some cases made.

I already have every ingredient in this
I like old-school cooking with simple ingredients. In looking through this so far, I already have every single ingredient or easy and economical access to those I don't. I'm a connoisseur of church cookbooks both for their humor of things like "oleo" or "lard" and for the fact they're just darn good because they're tested by families like mine.I only wish there were more recipes. One dislike is that I didn't get (or know existed) a spiral bound edition. I'm a bit OCD on not wanting to bend spines on books.

FINALLY A COOKBOOK I'LL USE
I HAVE BEEN ORDERING SPECIFIC COOKBOOKS FOR RECEIPES I'LL USE THIS YEARS GARDEN OF ZUCCHINI, TOMATOES, CUCUMBERS AND SUCH. I HAVE SENT THEM ALL BACK DUE TO SUCH DISAPPOINTMENT. THIS IS MY BEST RECENT COOKBOOK. I ORDERED 2 MORE FOR GIFTS IMMEDIATELY. THE RECEIPES ARE WONDERFUL. THE PICTURES MAKE YOU WANT TO COOK THEM ALL. THE BOOK ITSELF IS WELL MADE AND NOT A FLIMSY SOON TO BE TRASHED BOOK. THANK YOU FOR THIS BOOK. IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

Nice cookbook
Mr. Hollis has created a good cookbook and he has made the majority if not all of these recipes and tried them on multiple social media sites. Good job Mr. Hollis.

Not Very Lost
I pre-ordered this book several months ago thinking it would truly be a lost collection of Betty Crocker recipes compiled into one book.Unfortunately, that is not the case. Some of the recipes are not even vintage and the ones that are have already been published in other Betty Crocker books over the years, mainly those in the Desserts chapter—including:Starlight Yellow CakeVelvet Crumb CakeGingerbreadJelly RollLemon Chiffon CakeCream PuffsMolasses CrinklesHermitsBanana Cream PieIf you have any of the above recipes, you'll probably want to skip buying this book. It really is more of a retrospective look back at Betty Crocker with previously published recipes thrown in. Why call the book Lost Recipes if the recipes in it are not lost?Other things that irked me when I flipped through the book:The Appetizers & Snacks chapter features one cocktail recipe (Manhattan Cocktails), but no others—except for a few non-alcoholic beverages (mostly Punches).Chapter 3 is called Breads and Coffee Cakes, yet only one coffee cake—Cherry Swirl Coffee Cake—is included in the chapter (and it calls for Bisquick and canned cherry pie filling). The remaining recipes in the chapter fall under the Quick Bread or Yeast Bread category. No Streusel, Crumb, or Sour Cream coffee cakes are included in the chapter.Maybe I took the title a little too seriously, but it definitely wasn't what I expected. I did find two recipes in the Main Dishes chapter (Stuffed Peppers, Meat Loaf) that I'd probably try.If you're on the fence about whether you should buy this book or not, my advice would be to preview it before you do.

I like This Cookbook
I am happy with this cookbook. It has good photos and tasty, easy, recipes. I could live without the rabbit recipe but, overall, it was a good purchase.
