Shockproof, waterproof, cheaper than insurance for a year. Good piece of mind.

2020 SE2 case excellent fit function and waterproof
SE2 2020 case. I have had 4 of this design. I washed and dried a phone with this case and iphone came out working fine for another 2 years when it was replaced, still looking brand new. Only problem ever encountered was loosing external volume control buttons on one case.

Replaced iPhone Extended Warranty, BUT Quality/Durability has Decreased
I have been a loyal Lifeproof FRE owner for at least 7 years (10 cases to protect two iPhone 5's, a 6s, and three 7's). Small and thin, attractive, and able to protect my family's phones from nearly everything we have accidentally done to them over the years. This includes "regular" drops from 3-6 feet, one drop from a 2nd floor hotel balcony onto concrete, about 15-20 minutes in a wash machine, submersion in a 4 foot deep pool for less than an hour, dropped in a rain puddle and driven over by a car, and a minivan trunk door slam and closure (after this one the phone still looked untouched, though the case was severely damaged and had to be replaced). When I exchange my phones after 2-3 years, they all look new without even a scratch. As long as I buy my family's phones, they will all be protected by one of these cases. I can definitely recommend this product. However, I will say that the first two cases I bought for my and my wife's iPhone 5s each lasted nearly two years before they had to be replaced due to "normal" wear and tear. They probably lost full waterproofing a little before that, but they still looked and kept in reasonable condition. But this first round of iPhone 7 cases each lasted only about a year before the edges started peeling and half cases started to separate slightly at the seam. I don't think we were any rougher on the cases, though maybe my daughter was, but I think the overall quality and durability of this product has declined slightly since the original cases were produced. I will still always buy these cases, as they are cheaper than Apple'.s extended warranty, but the fact that I know the quality used to be better results in the loss of a star from the review.

GREAT, durable and expensive, but worth it.
GREAT product, and I'm glad they're still available for this model. Amazon should pay me to write these reviews. Shakin' my head

Awesome for snorkeling
This works great for snorkeling - used if on my vacation where I put it into a waist pack while in the ocean for hours at a time. I trust this more than those swim pouches . The door to close where the charger input is is tight - that’s how you know it will keep water out as long as you closed the seal all the way around. Definitely would recommend !

Still the most protective case I’ve ever used
I’ve used Lifeproof cases on my IPhones and Galaxy’s for the last ten years or so and I haven’t been able to find anything better (believe me, I’ve tried to find a less expensive case that works as well).I work in the mechanical trades, so my phone stays in my front pants pocket along with keys and tools and whatever else I stick in there while working from a ladder or climbing through a mechanical space. The Lifeproof Fre case, with the built-in screen protector and totally enclosed construction, has always kept my phones in mint condition in spite of occasional drops from varying heights and sharp objects scratching across the surface. The case that I just bought was the second one for my IPhone 7. The first one lasted me about two years before the microphone diaphragms got dirty and brittle enough to distort and muffle my voice so people complained that they couldn’t hear me. I’ve noticed that this seems to be the average expiration date on this case for me at least, between 18-24 months before it needs replacement. When I pulled the old case off the IPhone, the phone looked brand new, completely and utterly scratch and damage free (as they always do) in spite of the abuse the case showed.Personally, I probably wouldn’t recommend this case for someone who works at an office or other low-damage potential job and doesn’t need the dust-and-waterproofing and impact protection because there is a slight reduction in screen sensitivity especially when the protector starts to get scratched up, and you might experience microphone and speaker muffling depending on how you tend to hold the phone. In summary, although I always wince at the price of this case when I need one, I can’t deny that it’s well worth it in my case.

I love Lifeproof brand but I’m not sure if what I got is genuine Lifeproof brand
I’ve exclusively used Lifeproof cases for the past 10 years due to their excellent protection against drops, shocks, and water damage. I would have surely significantly damaged several phones without such a high quality of case. I’ve never had ANY damage occur to the actual device despite weekly drops/falls and monthly getting water on my case. I have always been willing to pay $50 for the quality of case that gives me this level protection (much more than a $10 fun designed case). But because of the high cost, I’ve also always been cautious about purchasing the cases online due to risk of receiving a non-genuine Lifeproof brand product. The packaging for this case is not what I was expecting (do a google search for Lifeproof packaging) and is not like any of the other packaging that I’ve received for previous Lifeproof cases. It’s possible that it IS a genuine Lifeproof product as there are elements of the packaging that seem accurate (I.e. property of Treefrog Developments), but I’m wary of it. There is no serial number inside the case which added to my concerns. I did a water test to confirm the case was waterproof, and it passed. I’m still deciding whether to keep or return the product though. Pictures of packaging and product are attached (does not include the cute sloth popsocket!).
