Superb build, incredible speed, advanced features, and a tiny footprint.
Compact, Ultra-Fast, and Loaded with Features—A Gamer’s Dream I’ve been using the SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini Mechanical Keyboard for several weeks now, and it’s easily one of the best compact keyboards I’ve experienced for gaming and productivity. What I Love: Phenomenally Fast & Customizable: The OmniPoint 2.0 adjustable switches set a new standard for speed and personalization. You can change the actuation point for every key—from super light 0.2mm taps for gamers who demand instant response, to a firmer setting for safer typing. You can even program “dual-action” keys: for example, pressing lightly on W to walk, and pressing it down fully to sprint—fantastic for competitive play. Premium Build Quality: The aluminum top plate feels solid yet lightweight. The keyboard is very sturdy and doesn’t flex, and the PBT keycaps have a pleasant textured grip that keeps fingers steady. Brilliant RGB: The per-key RGB lighting is vivid and fully customizable, with deep software support for effects and macros. It makes my desktop setup look especially sleek at night. Space Saver: At just 60% the size of a regular keyboard, it’s perfect for smaller desks or travel. While there’s a learning curve (especially coming from full-size boards), I quickly adapted, and now appreciate the extra room for my mouse. Some Things to Consider Learning Curve: Some keys (like arrows, page up/down, delete) are accessed via the function (FN) layer, which takes getting used to. If you rely on these secondary keys for work, expect an adjustment period. No Numpad or Dedicated Function Row: If you do lots of data entry or complex Excel work, the 60% form factor might not be ideal. Software Needed for Advanced Features: To unlock full customization, you’ll need to install the SteelSeries GG Engine software. Keycap Wobble & Sound: Some users report a slight wobble and a “clacky” sound when bottoming out keys—it’s much quieter than clicky switches, but not silent (I find it satisfying, but it’s subjective). Final Thoughts: The SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini is a top choice for gamers and power users who want lightning-fast response, deep customization, and quality in a compact package. The adjustable switches and dual-action keys make it stand out from typical mechanical boards. Its size takes a bit of adapting, but once you do, it’s hard to go back. If you’re looking for a premium, future-proof compact keyboard—especially for gaming—the Apex Pro Mini is well worth it. Just be ready for a short adjustment period, and install the software for maximum flexibility! Would absolutely recommend—especially if you can grab it on sale.

Wireless keyboard
I love it, comes with a dust cover too so that’s handy and the type c cable is braided and super long which is nice, you can use it as wired, wireless with the USB dongle or Bluetooth. All work well for me, no issues, charging is super simple. Lighting is very well and adjustable to dim or off. Keyboard feel is very nice, wrist rest may get a couple scratches over time but I couldn’t care less, keyboard itself fine had it for a year or so now and no issues whatsoever, held up strong as if brand new. Keyboard sound I love it too, wouldn’t let me upload a video but you can find on YouTube anyways

Best Keyboard for Price and Gaming
Keyboards responsiveness is by far the best in the entire market and nothing comes close. The quality of the build is simply above and beyond any others and all pieces feel extremely quality. While some models sometimes have repetitive key issues (I had to return mine once) even though it was a year and a half model, Steelseries very kindly sent me a new one without any problems. The looks of it is clean and the colour fits any setup. As for functionality, it’s perfect. The ability to change practically every setting in the App you have to download for the keyboard allows for it to be super customisable. 10/10 this keyboard is amazing.

Lovely Keyboard to Use
I work from home, so wanted a decent keyboard that I could use for work and also for gaming in my own time (I have it plugged in to a KVM). My previous keyboard was a Corsair K70, which worked well for me up to when it suddenly stopped, and I wanted another mechanical keyboard, just not another Corsair. The positives: The build quality is great It makes some noise when typing, but not too loud. Not as clacky as my old K70. I like the usb pass through - my mouse is plugged into it, reducing the cables across my desk. Negatives: There's very little useful information on the GG software to configure the RGB lighting, what there is seems to be for an older version, and what there is is mostly 3rd party YouTube vids. The Whatever The screen is a bit gimmicky. It shows you the selected configuration, caps lock, num lock, scroll lock. You can upload monochrome animated gifs, but they make it hard to see the locks. It's a bit of a faff to navigate and easier to use GG software to select configurations. Final observation is that SteelSeries have ignored convention and put the shifted key value under the unshifted value instead of above it. A bit confusing. (See pic for what I mean) All in all, though, a lovely keyboard to use. I'll figure out the software eventually and get used to the weird key markings.
