I asked the questions I'm going to do my best to answer for you now
Adding: To be ABSOLUTELY certain these were authentic, I contacted Stuart Weitzman via Facebook to authenticate them. They asked me to provide the style code stamped near the top of the inside shaft and about a day later confirmed my pair IS authentic, from their fall 2017 run. Great customer service. If you have doubts get them, jot down the code and contact the company directly.Last Saturday night I watched Atomic Blonde. A week and change later I am the PROUD owner of the 5050 she ROCKED in that fight scene. Whoa, wow and OMG. OK, OK. I read the reviews. I asked the questions I'm going to do my best to answer for you now. Let's do this:I received my boots in the purple box. I received the dust bag. My boots arrived today new and pristine, factory packed and properly stuffed with no creases in the leather. I checked the soles: Made in Spain. I had to peer down the shaft a bit to see the SW stamp but there it was, clean and crisp. I have the napa leather and it's like butter--soft but not TOO soft; it feels like it can stand up to daily street action. I can see how our heroine in Atomic Blonde kicked much arse in these and still looked fab.About me: 5'2. 110lbs. Lean build, no exceptional leg proportions. Size 9 shoe; I don't know why I have such big feet on such a small frame but that's just life and genetics. And 45, if you must know. If you've studied pics of this boot you know the shaft hits differently on different people. I learned manufacturers cut the length of the boot shaft in proportion to the shoe size, which they base on the height of the average woman who wears that size: so if you're a size 5 shoe, manufacturers cut the shaft to fit a height around 5 feet or so--hence if your shoe size is disproportionate to your height, you may find boot shafts hit you differently than advertised. I followed advice and sized .5 down to the 8.5B and it is PERFECT on me, even with a thick sock. The shaft is where things get interesting. On me, thanks to my big hoofs, this boot hits well above the knee, a couple inches or so--high enough that on me this is thigh high. No more feening for Lowlands for this chick! But this higher rise also means the stretch back hits much higher on my leg than designed--above the bend of my knee--so sitting and bending are not the most comfortable at present; this may resolve with some break in. I also felt a little rubbing/irritation around the front of my knee where the leather in front is sort of, I dunno--seamed or folded inside or whatever. And yes, there was a bit of bagging around the ankles but no big deal.The rounded toe shape works for me and is part of what makes these so wearable--no crowding, all badarse walkability for days. Footbed is super comfortable and the shoe does not rub or chafe my toes anywhere. People wear these with jeans; I tried them on bare legs. They are snug. I tried them over the jeans I was wearing today too, which are skinny but not SUPER skinny. Not a good look. These babies want your skinniest skinnies. Keep them tight to the ankles to minimize extra bagging at the ankles.You will look luxe. You will feel luxe. These rule. If you're into these, Prime them and see for yourself if it's love for you, too.

Leather is plastic like not like the Stuart Weiztman 50/50s I own from ...
Fake do not buy! Didn't arrive in a Stuart Weitzman box, just a plain brown box. Leather is plastic like not like the Stuart Weiztman 50/50s I own from Nordstrom. Then one of the pair I literally could not get on as something was wrong with the ankle like the card in the back was sitting very wrong. I realize they can be snug and always put them on over socks or hosiery so they slide, but one was not going on if I I hammered my foot into it. I haven't had any trouble with 50/50s before so I believe they are fake. After the fact I have read on forums that Amazon has multiple people who have returned fake Stuart Weitzmans but they are still selling them. The worst thing is customer service is trying to tell me as I'm an international customer I have to return them myself and am not eligible for a free return shipping label. Especially don't buy if your international as you will be left out of pocket and not amount of arguing on the chat got them to be reasonable.

Beautiful boots well made but somehow didn’t live up to years of coveting them.
I have coveted these for years...and when I saw them on sale I jumped at them. They were 1/2 the usual price which I couldn’t pass up! I got them and was...underwhelmed. I’ve never tried them on because I wear a size 12 and most stores don’t stock my size. I find they bunch somewhat at the ankles and I don’t love that about them. I don’t know what I was expecting but I felt a bit disappointed in them. My sister looked at them and was like what makes those 800.00 boots? They look like boots you can buy anywhere! She has a point. The leather is soft and I didn’t find them that hard to pull on or off. I have had them a month and only put them on once to try them on. I haven’t returned because the price (for SW) was so good! I’ve honestly felt conflicted about keeping them. They are beautiful and look well made and so for 1/2 price I guess it is worth it to me. If I had of paid full price I would have returned.

[EDIT: I thought I'd move this part to the top as it may be helpful to some, although it was added more as an afterthought.]Since I've owned the other pair of 5050s for a year, here are some tips from personal experience for new 5050 lovers who can still find a good quality pair (you may have better luck with leather than with suede) but find it difficult to get in and out of this style:1. The easiest way to put on the 5050 boots, as conterintuitive as it may seem, is to remain in standing position when you do so. Your body weight will be working for you as you step down into the boot, and you wouldn't have to pull like crazy the way you would if you were sitting.2. The easiest way to take off the 5050 boots is to roll down the top (turning it inside out from the top and peel half way down) before pulling out your foot.[And here's the main review.]Last year (late 2013) I splurged on my first pair of 5050 boots, a gorgeous pair in softest black nappa leather. When I tried them on at the store, I also lusted over the cola (brown) suede version which felt like caressing butter in my hand - but of course, at this price I couldn't get two pairs in a row and decided on just the black ones (see, I was being "sensible" lol).I couldn't put them out of my mind though, and kept checking back - the cola suede ones became unavailable for months on end in my size, and when I saw them return this fall (2014), I was overjoyed and could no longer resist ordering them.When I finally got them though... WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! While the cut/style remains the same 5050, this year's suede material is thicker and much more stiff, nowhere near as luxurious as before (which was how it should be considering the price tag). Even the box they come in is shorter this year, with the boot shaft folded in half to fit inside, as opposed to the extra-long box of last year that accommodated the full length of the OTK 5050s. I feel that they have skimped on the quality while raising the already sky-high list price by another forty dollars.Sorry Stuart W, it's just unacceptable and these are going back. To be fair, the quality is not bad and the style is fabulous as always. But for a luxury product at this price point, I expect nothing less than exceptional quality - else we could just go for the Franco Sarto or other boots of similar style at less than a quarter of the price.

This is fake!
I seriously concern that these boots are not authentic. I brought them to the store and the staff told me they are different. The “made in Spain” was written differently and the serier number is also different. After wearing them for less than two hours, the color bled to my pants badly. I would imagine authentic boots for this price wouldn’t have this kind of issue. Amazon should be responsible if it is sold by amazon!

They came in the beautiful Stuart Weitzman box, with the dust bag, with the suede brush. Got these authentic Stuart Weitzman at an amazing deal from Amazon, can't beat the price anywhere else. these boots retail for 800$ CAD and rarely go on sale, even when they do, you won't find them at this price. customer service was very helpful and guaranteed that i would be satisfied and receive genuine SW.. I've read so many reviews of people saying they came in plain boxes and were not authentic, what I'll say is to make sure to get it from Amazon itself, which means sold and shipped by Amazon and not for third party seller, otherwise you won't know if they are real until you look at them. I'm very happy with my purchase, SW makes amazing quality footwear. And at this price, you won't regret it, it's a must have!! it's worth every penny.

This pair was very different from the current 50/50 sold in the stores. The calf was cut much looser and larger, and the fit was not as snug or slimming as the current in-store version. I am not sure if the 50/50 has changed over the years and perhaps this is a different make, but if you are looking for the 2018/19 version, buy it in the store, not this online.

Wow. I got these boots at such a great deal that I wasn't sure they would be authentic but they are!! They came in a gorgeous box with a dust bag. Amazing quality - I also ordered these in suede in 2 different colours because they were such a great deal. If you find them for a great deal directly from Amazon and are worried about them being authentic - have no fear!!

GO FOR IT!
I purchased the 50/50 boots in Topo; they arrived on time and fit as expected. Although these are among the most expensive pairs of boots I own they were totally worth the money as they extremely comfortable, versatile and stylish. The quality of them is beyond reproach.

Perfect boots for your long legs!!
These boots are absolutely gorgeous and amazing! The only struggle I have is taking them off, they are a bit tight around the ankle otherwise they are perfect! I am 6 foot tall and can almost never find good-looking boots in my size, I am so thankful that Stuart Weitzman has the 5050 in a size 12. I would definitely recommend these to anyone!
