Great for substituting a meal I have it for lunch with a banana. They taste very good and have all the vitamins in. This is a great product and recommend them and they are far cheaper on Amazon

This tastes good and keeps me going in the morning

There’s a lot of stigma with Slim Fast shakes. I’m guilty of mocking people who drank them in the past, while at the same time knocking back protein shakes which aren’t vastly different. Even now I still feel a little self-conscious when I buy these things in the shops. Why? I’m a 40-year-old man, fit and active and lead a hectic life at times, and I’m not always in a position to stop and have a proper meal at lunch or breakfast. I keep a close eye on my diet, for no other reason than to maintain a healthy balance, or bring my weight down a little after the BBQ or Christmas/Easter season. I’ve been using MyFitness Pal for 9 years, and having a similar app to manage your dietary intake is the single biggest piece of advice I can give for weight management. I don’t eat salads, but I do eat a lot of fruit, meat and high carb meals such as pasta to fuel my running/walking/cycling/racquet sports etc. Where Slim Fast shakes help is that I can drink one of these at breakfast and it’ll happily get me through the morning without feeling hungry, and/or one at lunch with some fruit and that’ll get me through till my evening meal. They’re much lower in calories and fat then the breakfast bars I would otherwise have in the morning, or the porridge or rice I’d have at lunch. Plus, they’ve got a good chunk of protein in them without the calorie hit you get from protein shakes. Taste wise, I find the chocolate one the most palatable. Really quite tasty in fact. The strawberry and latte ones are good too. I prefer to have the ready-made shakes as they’re grab-and-go, but they are very expensive. Anything up to £2 per bottle if bought individually, or approaching £10 for a pack of six. But they are convenient. The cheaper alternative is the powders that you make up yourself. You have to factor in the additional cost of whatever milk you choose to use; I find almond or cashew milk a good option. You also need to put some effort in to getting it smooth. If you have a proper protein shaker then use that. You’ll never get it smooth with a fork or hand whisk. I tend to whisk it together in a mixing jug and then put it into a thermos flask and shake the heck out of it for a minute. The beauty of having these as a meal replacement is that you can then supplement your diet with more fruit (during the day I’ll have a banana, apple, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherries and grapes, often as an evening snack with Skyr yoghurt and oats) and leave room for a good solid evening meal like a big bowl of pasta or stir fry. All good diets are based on exercise and a balanced diet that gives you the proper fuels to power that exercise, and Slim Fast helps gives you the space to do that.

Best flavour Slimfast shakes by a mile. Similar to yazoo in taste and consistency, no weird malty aftertaste. Excellent for people on a weight loss journey at only 200 cals. I find it brilliant for when I don’t fancy a meal but know I need to get something down me.
