I bought this item on the back of positive reviews on Amazon, and I can say I was not disappointed. The balm itself is clean, and not claggy, does not leave a slimy residue on your hands and applies well to beard. I often have a dry beard that has a mind of its own, and a small scraping/nob of this balm (which is then massaged into the hand) makes my beard shiny and gives it the body I want. I have tried a lot of products and would rate this in the top 3. Very nice smelling notes of vanilla that stay throughout the day, none of the acrid aniseed type smells you tend to get with other brands. So far, very impressed with this - from the packaging and the way it is presented you can tell this is a quality product and I will be using again. Top marks from me. ++++

By beard has a tendency to get out of control from time to time, whether it be curling or a just a general bit of frizz, so I was after something that would help tame it. I’d tried a few different oils and whilst they helped condition my beard they did nothing to help keep it under control. Then in walked this balm... I bought it just to see what it was like and so far I’m pretty darn impressed. It’s presented well in its little tin and on first impression comes across a bit like lard! However, once in the palm of your hands it melt like butter, making application smooth and comfortable. Once applied it helped calm down my beards wild side - I wouldn’t say completely but I’d have to apply mortar in order to do that anyway! The scent is really nice and fragrant too, not too overwhelming yet not too subtle either. It’s only been a week or so since I’ve started using it but I’d definitely say it’s helped improve my face fuzz and it’s certainly made my grooming regime a lot more enjoyable and less of a chore! *UPDATE* I've been using this for a while now and I can't really imagine using anything else if I'm honest. You can use it to suit your needs - if you're going out casually just use a bit to tame your beard slightly but still give it that edge, or for more formal occasions/work use a little more to keep it looking great and groomed all day. I'm not a massive beard fanatic - I have one and that's about it, I don't feel the need to have a designer or fashionable beard, as everyone else has one anyway, but I still see this product as essential to keep it looking presentable and of course aid with the care of my skin and hair.

Bought this product, and received the following day, with no issues on delivery. Had previously been utilising beard oil, and was getting frustrated in the transfer of oil through the day to the likes of my smartphone, laptop keyboard, etc.. Happy with this product, and does what it says on the tin - beard feels soft and have eliminated the transfer experienced with oil. Butter melts at the touch and applies easily. Nice smell that is not overpowering. Not overly expensive, but there are cheaper products out there with similar reviews, however I have not tried them so can't confirm the differences. Likely to trial a few different brands and then pick one to use regularly from there. The associated ebook was a nice touch, however the content I thought was fairly common sense stuff, but definitely a nice offering to differentiate from other similar products.

Being new to the beard growing world I’ve been relying on the internet and friends recommendations for care and maintenance. I don’t have a really full beard so it took me a good 6 weeks to get something I was happy with. Unfortunately some of the beard hairs stick out at odd angles giving me a fairly scruffy look, which I don’t want. I ordered some beard wax but its far too stiff to work with and I couldn’t get it to apply properly, after a conversation with a friend he suggested a beard Balm. I jumped onto Amazon, it’s my default shop these days and ordered this Beard Balm. Firstly, it comes in a much bigger size than the wax which was as expensive for less. Secondly, its much easier to apply than the wax. The instructions say to apply to hand to warm but I just start massaging into the beard. You need to use it a few times to decide how much you need to put on. The first time I added too much then not enough, after two weeks of use I’m getting good at applying it every day. I wash my beard with shampoo about once a week, most days I only rinse in the shower with water and then apply the balm. This balm is really easy to work with and leaves my beard smelling nice and looking great, even the Wife has commented on how much better it looks. I’m able to grow it much longer without it looking scruffy and the beard looks a lot fuller, and loads softer. A really great product.

It's not a bad balm, has a pleasant smell and is actually quite effective as a softener. Personally, I'm always wary of stuff marketed as premium quality but I thought to give it a try. I wouldn't chose it as my daily balm as it is a bit greasy. I was also a bit disappointed with the contents of the tin, to my surprise it was hollow underneath the surface! So I felt a bit short changed. Other than that, having tried many others, it's not the worst balm and certainly isn't bad value for money either.

Having just grown my first beard this year, I have been experimenting with various products. I purchased Gentlemans Face Care Club's Beard Balm, after trying another, more expensive product, which didn't seem to do much (no hold at all on the beard and didn't seem live up to the "conditioning" properties on the tub). After using this Beard Balm for a few days now, I have to say that I am extremely happy with the results. You don't need a lot and once on, it leaves my beard soft and with a healthy shine. It provides some hold, so straggly, stray hairs now stay put. It has a nice smell to it and despite some concerns when you first apply it using your hands, it is not greasy at all once on the beard. The tub should go a long way, but I will be buying more once it is finished. My 3-year old suggested that I use it on my legs too, but I think I'll have to disappoint her on that one!
