Expedition Camper Men's 38 mm Watch

This is a good cheap watch for work or every day use .The fabric strap is very comfortable and fits perfectly as it should, the face is very easy to read but the date is very small and hard to read not a big deal really. Indiglo is superb but having had timex before I expected it to be. I paid £ 21 which frankly is a bargain.

Great watch at an affordable price, easy to see the time day or night with clear dial and Timex night light, that said the the strap although comfortable and quick and easy to put on it is not really suitable for everyday use as if you don't take if of before showering it stays wet for quite some time and can become irritating to wear. Other down side is the loud ticking which does not concern me but I know others may find this annoying. BUT all in all a great watch.

A nice little watch at a price the means you don't have to worry about bashing it. The 38mm size is misleading as this includes the little protrusions near the crown and on the opposite side. Without these it is only 36mm which suits my 6.75" wrist. The face is very clear so you can read the time at a glance. The hands have long lasting lume but obviously you have indiglo if it's very dark. My watch is loosing 3 seconds a week which is fine at this price point. I noticed that it lost more time if you use the backlight but this could be that the battery needs replacing as it arrived ticking and I no Idea how long it's been in storage. Strap is very comfortable and the whole package is as light as a feather. One thing that did impress me was that the second hand hits all the batons on the way round. I've paid more in the past for watches that can't manage that. You can sometimes here it ticking but it's not at the volume of the Weekender if you are familiar with that model. I'm very satisfied with this simple low priced watch. Only gripe; Timex, please pull the crown out before dispatch so that the watch arrives with a full battery.

I like the watch and the styling but it has some flaws that you really want sorted when purchasing this type of watch. I use it when travelling or hiking mainly not as an everyday watch due to its purpose and styling. Positives, its easy to read and robust, the styling is rugged and suits its purpose. However, it seems to be losing time slowly, over the course of 2 weeks it has fallen circa 3 minutes slow and I have to keep adjusting. Additionally the date function keeps falling behind, not that I use it that much but it should work as a minimum. The backlight is fine but doesnt give you a clear indication at first glance. The strap is fabric and it is getting really stinky, even when I wash it there is a smell of suncream and sweat! I appreciate that that will be the case with a fabric strap but the ridges on the underside seem to capture it and make it hard to remove. I havent been diving or swimming with it but the watch seems splash and waterproof. Overall, for the price it is decent but it fails to do the basics as well as it should for such a well known brand.

Timex has a reputation for making high quality products and this watch is no exception. The numbers are clear and easy to read. The hands of the watch are a good size and make telling the time easy. The watch has an illuminating face which makes it possible to tell the time even in complete darkness. The strap is made of nylon and is very comfortable. The nylon goes under the actual watch. This means that the metal underside of the watch does not come into contact with the skin of the person wearing it. If you have any allergies then this would be a good setup for you. One thing to note is that this watch is not very dressy. If you are dressing smartly then it might be an idea to keep the watch hidden and only take a peek at the time when nobody is looking. Overall this watch is reliable, functional and looks good on the wrist.

This watch is superbly designed for it's purpose. The black resin case is very tough as is the black nylon strap. The watch is water resistant to 100m/360ft so the watch is effectively waterproof for all water based activities. The large hands and numerals are easy to read at a glance which is ideal for cycling or similar activities when a quick look is all that can be spared. The watch face includes a date window which is also large and clear. The hands are luminous and the watch also has the 'Indiglo' backlight feature for viewing at night. My only criticism is the 20mm nylon strap which is fastened with Velcro. This is great when new as it is tough, secure and comfortably fits all wrist sizes. However, this will only last as long as the Velcro but replacement straps are easy to obtain. A very good watch . I'm very pleased.

Bought as a work watch and it's just what I wanted. Keeps time and is easy to read. Strong quality wrist strap (although a tad long for my thin wrists - I like mens watches for work as the dial is a nice size). Always like Timex watches as they are such good quality and reliable. Good price for a decent watch.
