Amazon Basics 14-Piece Knife Set with Block, Black

I was needing a new set of kitchen knives because I love a bit of cooking and my old ones were getting a bit shabby. So I did a search on amazon and came across these ones and having a great experience with Amazon products in the past I settled for these bad boys. Straight out the box these knives are sharp and well balanced, great value for money in my opinion. I’ve no idea how other reviewers have managed to get stainless steel to rust but maybe theirs are different to mine. The bread knife included is excellent and the chef’s knife is great too, there is also about six steak knives which have come in handy also, you’ll also be able to keep them nice and sharp too as they come with a handy knife sharpener. All in all a great set, keep up the good work Amazon.

Excellent value very sharp knives that look good .. i have had them a while now still look good easy to clean and feel solid not light and cheap .. nice handles to hold and as they are in a block good storage space .. The knife set contains more than i thought very happy ...

These knives are good. I deliberately left it a while before I did my review. They are sturdy and strong. Still just like new. They look the part in the kitchen and are comfortable to handle and use. There is no evidence of any wear or tear and the handles are still looking brand new !

great set for the price and looks great on counter top. very functional and scratch resistant. they are very easy to clean making it a perfect to- go knife set for when in a rush. the array of sizes means it can be used for everything and been proved to be quite durable. although the did come quite blunt, luckily it does come with a sharpener however it wiuld be more convenient if they did not come blunt.

Great value for money. Selection well suited for a family kitchen. Sharpen well and keep edge reasonably. Recommended!

Thes are so perfect. Haven't used any knife as sharp as it before. I love it a lot. My cooking is so easy now

For the money they are excellent value, blades are sharp and I have been able to chop up veg into small cubes and have had no issues with meat either. A single high quality chefs knife would cost at least twice the price of this entire set and to be honest it does not really matter too much what knife you buy as they will only keep well if looked after properly. I protect the edges of the blades at all times by avoiding cutting through bones or coming into contact with anything other than what I want to cut and a wooden chopping board. The blades are still sharp after a couple of months use, but I am sure they would not be so so if I stuck them in the dishwasher or used them to cut bones on a marble chopping board. I also dry them immediately after hand washing and as a result I have not noticed any issues with rusting.
