Can you bake with this like cocoa powder?

Most chocolate cake recipes say that you must cocoa not drinking chocolate but many years ago (in the late 1950s!!!) my Grandmother was given a chocolate cake recipe from Cadburys using Drinking Cocoa. It's the best choc cake I've ever tried. I've tweaked it into an all-in-one mix to make life easier: Sift 4 ounces self-raising flour, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder and 2 tablespoons drinking chocolate into a large bowl. Add 4 ounces of soft butter (use margarine if you must but why spoil the cake for the sake of a few pennies), 5 ounces brown sugar, 2 eggs and 2 tablespoons of Drinking Chocolate dissolved in 1 1/2 tablespoons of warm water. Beat until well until mixed and soft and fluffy. Turn into a 7inch round cake tin which is line with baking parchment ( or greaseproof paper but in that case grease the paper with butter). Bake for 3/4 of an hour in an oven pre-heated to (British) gas mark 3 (335 degrees fahrenheit - sorry, I don't know the centigrade alternative). When cooked allow to cool then spread some Cadbury's dairy Milk Chocolate on the top and let it set before cutting. For special occasions (like my birthday!) Grannie used to split the cake and sandwich in some apricot jam.

You need to change the description on the 1kg tins. They are "Original" not "Instant"

On my container it says 'instant'

Rich, comforting hot chocolate

Best Hot Chocolate on Market

The best hot chocolate period. I’ve tried loads but not only does it taste great, but how efficient it is to make it by just adding hot water. Saves money on milk, and lasts a fair bit. The nutritional value isn’t harsh either, which is very important for me being into fitness. After a hard working day, I enjoy one cup of this at night and I’m still losing weight. All round best hot chocolate.

Hot chocolate!!!

For some reason , unbelievable to me, every shop in my county were sold out of cadburys - so a quick Amazon search and I was sipping away at my hot chocolate the very next day! Smooth hot chocolate every time, easy to mix, great value and lovely texture with every sip! The container is sturdy and the sugar content is okay! You can’t beat cadburys, can you?

Delicious!!

Tastes delicious and a lovely Silky texture! We use this with our posh coffee machine to make the creamiest delicious hot chocolates! Top kt with some cream and chocolate sprinkles and you have yourself a Costa quality hot chocolate! Good packaging, stays fresh and keeps the kids quiet and happy!! Also used to sprinkle on top of frothy cappuccinos of course!! It’s asking me to record calorie and sugar content too but if you’re buying this for hot chocolates, I can’t imagine that’s top of your priorities!! Certainly wasn’t mine when I purchased the second tub! Great value for money. Doesn’t last as long as it should with my kids sneaking hot chocolates at every chance but even still, this size tub does keep us going a while!
