Does it operate under 220 voltage?

It will operate at 220V but the toast will take a little longer than if the voltage was 230V or even 240V.

Some reviews say slices do not fit fully and others they are perfect. Can anyone confirm that if the slice wont fit fully portait will it go landscape

I have owned this toaster for over a year now. Most of the "normal" brands of bread won't fully fit in the toaster properly - "portrait" they stick out the top by an inch or so, "landscape" - no chance! You mostly have to turn the settings all the way up too if you want anything other than a warmed-up piece of bread, even with the "frozen" setting on. Also - cleaning: the tiny shallow crumb trays don't hold much, and the decals printed on the toaster are easily wiped off, leaving the controls with no markings as to what they do. I personally haven't had mine jam in the down position as others have commented, so my kitchen hasn't turned to ash yet, so it's not all bad! (I'll leave that to my dodgy H.Point tumble dryer!)

Shiny steel on top and front and sides are slightly brushed steel

If you're only toasting 1 slice in 1 slot, and you push down one of the handles, does it heat only 1 slot or 2 out of the 4 slots?
