Small sideboard
I have installed the cabinet in my kitchen dinner, looks good with my pine dining table and chairs. My son put it together for me and was impressed with where all the holes were drilled in the right places. It’s very sturdy and has eliminated clutter from my dining table, good storage, works well for me. Great value for the money.

Smart Looking
I had already bought the bigger brother to this one with the Antique wax finish and this one did not disappoint. It just looks much more expensive than it costs and goes togther very well. So impressed that I have just ordered the matching coffee table. Very happy with the purchase.

Lovely piece of furniture
A lovely piece of furniture, good quality and looks very nice too. For me well worth the time and effort required to make it but you do need a lot of time and patience !. In total I probably spent about ten hours on it although I admit I am a slow worker and stop for frequent cups of tea. Saying that you need some type of drink to take in the instructions, which as others have commented are poor. Although all the information is on the diagrams and illustrations these are quite small and it easy to miss things. I set everything out first and put numbers on the bits of wood to save any confusion once starting the work. I did find I was 8 screws short ( for door hinges), but this was quickly rectified by a call to Mercers who duly posted these to me. The main problem I had was one of the drawers where despite appearing to fit everything properly the drawer was very stiff. I had to chisel away and rub down one of the runners and the drawer is now fine.Where there are just marks for where certain screws have to go I found using a very fine drill to give the screw a 'starter' certainly helped.Main thing to remember is you may have to expect to do one or two extra bits of work but if you are prepared to do this it is well worth it. I think a unit like this ready assembled would be double the price. In conclusion the instructions need to be better, there should be some writing to go with the illustrations for further guidance and I would be prepared to have paid two or three pounds more for better instructions to be included. The quality and finish I would give five stars but taking into account the amount of work involved and the instructions knocks it down to a four for me.

Makes for an interesting upscale project
I already have a Corona Book shelf, TV unit and Merchants Chest. And always had room from a sideboard but only recently got around to acquiring it.The Book shelf, TV unit, Merchants chest were acquired about 10yrs ago, of which the chest and TV unit gave me a couple of assembly issues. So, I had an idea of what I was getting myself into with this sideboard.I'm not comfortable paying hundreds of pounds for furniture that I'll rarely see, i.e I spend most hours at work, in the gym or out. So, this sideboard's practicality (for my needs) and price point were enticing enough. This sideboard's quality is much better than the Corona items that I'd previously bought. The pine sections are of a better quality, and on the whole the fixing holes match up.Instructions are just diagrams that require patience and an eye for small details. i.e. fixings that are very similar in dimensions but have very different purposes. Also, some wooden sections of internal frame work are very similar but different. So, watch out.It is also important to obey the advice that power tool for screws must not be used, as the wood can split with ease when using power tool, in my experience.Warning on storage:I didn't have time to immediately put it together, though I checked the contents right away, and stored it in my garage. My garage isn't insulated and prone to high humidity. So, when I got around to assembly I found that the doors, which are prefabricated and made of several bits, had warped a little and became wider than the its opening. But once I brought them into my house, and left them for a couple of days they returned to their original shape. The drawer bottoms and backing are made of 4mm MDF, which is of a much better quality than my other Corona furniture. Assembling one of the drawers took a little shimmying to get the base in.The corona pine look as it is, looks great on a warm sunny day in my living room.Value:I purchased this at £62.99 and regard it as value for money, but I've seen it advertised for £99 (in its basic form). Though I've also seen upscaled specimens at £136. The basic item is not, in my opinion worth £99.Upscale:Since, I've had the Corona furniture for a while now, it's time for a change and I recently discovered furniture upscaling blogs. This Corona furniture can be painted. So, this item was part assembled and then I got creative. I purchased new round drawer & door handles, Blum soft close concealed hinges and Rust oleum chalky furniture paint (Winter grey) & polish. And I varnished the top and shelf a warm oak. It makes for a spectacular transformation.Though I must admit the cost of the upscale materials exceeds the cost of the sideboard, but only just.(I had intentions of sharing photos of my upscale efforts but I think they've temporarily removed the button to attach photos - not enough people to review photos due to covid19)

Fear flat pack furniture no more!
Probably the best piece of flat pack furniture I have ever purchased.Delivered promptly within two days. Package was a single large yet manageable well protected box. Every piece was delivered and of good quality, with more than enough screws to complete the job.The 13 step instruction booklet is easy to follow. You will need a Philips screwdriver. A flat head screwdriver and a mallet to tap in the dowel rods. It suggests that it will take two people 40 minutes to put together. I worked alone and had it completed within two and half hours (with a tea break or two in between). The wood is solid and of good quality, all the pre drilled holes are in the right places and in line, unlike other flat pack furniture available at another well known company! The draws and cupboard doors fit neatly with no off centre gaps. The shelf inside can be moved to different positions and the draws are deep. All in all I am very pleased, there is no reason that this piece will not last for many many years. I am already considering which piece from this range to buy next.Fear flat pack no more!

Poor quality
Avoid at all cost. Really poor quality. Parts are bent and warped. Cannot put together due to broken parts. Don't make the same mistake as me.
