Great light with sounds
Great purchase still being used 4 years later!

Lovely product, happy baby, just ordered two more as back ups in case......!!
As said by others, the cube works best in a darker room to display the shapes on the ceilings or walls, but even in the daytime, if our baby is having an afternoon kip, we use the lamp as part of our routine. She really likes the ocean sounds and the light is still bright. The stars are an extra treat of distraction then at night time. The lamp is part of an established but still flexible routine. its also calming for adults so doesn't disturb when we pop Molly down for the night in her cot beside us and have the cube on the dresser. Rather like the shapes too! The cube takes batteries. Ive had ours on for weeks and weeks now and no sign of loss of power at all. This saves hassle for trip risk and finding a suitable power socket location so is to our advantage.

Helps babies get to sleep
This is definitely for babies and toddlers rather than older children or adults. We bought ours 6 years ago when my eldest was a baby and now it helps our youngest to get to sleep every night. She even puts it on herself when we are playing in her room. The music is pleasant, the ambient light is soft and it turns itself off after 15 mins so you don't have to creep back in to the room to turn it off. I'm looking at getting another one as she has been throwing it about a bit lately, it has survived so far but wanted to check they are still available just in case it breaks. I had forgotten what good value it was!

Very soothing
Although this is smaller than it appears it is a very soothing, calming and effective night light. Bought for our three year old as a more age appropriate soother / night light instead of his old baby mobile, I has worked wonders for helping him sleep at night. The buttons are very easy to use and he now chooses which he would like to listen to depending upon his mood. The lullabies are still a nice reminder of his old mobile but the options of rainforests and water are something new that he can enjoy and settle too. The differing soft lighting of stars is also very subtle and lights up his room beautifully but not too harshly making it cosy for him to drift off. The auto button is perfect too as it a battery saver by switching off after 15 minutes without the need for disturbing him by going in to his room to switch it off. My only (slight) disappointment is that it is not a little bit bigger, but it is a lovely gift and very good at helping with bed time for young children.

Absolutely wonderful!
This is the nicest projection/night light I have come across! The music and sounds are lovely and soothing and there are lots to choose from so suitable from tiny baby through to much older children. Volume can be changed. The light is small and light for little hands. Projects stars onto ceiling and switches off after a period of time. Would definitely recommend! Got one for my 4-year-old daughter and am planning on buying one for my soon-to-arrive nephew :o)

Light Cube
Me and my husband love this light cube for our little boys room - however it seems to keep our little boy awake more than putting him to sleep as he loves to watch the lights change colour on the ceiling! The room does have to be pitch dark to get the full effect (he has black out blind and curtains so not an issue). I quite like the 15 minute timer and regularly use it when reading him his bedtime story and giving him his final feed for the day! Haven’t used the sounds as much as I thought I would. The water one is realistic and the nature sounds relaxing - but again these tend to keep our little one awake rather than putting to sleep!Only downside is this doesn’t come with the power adaptor (which after shopping around a decent one costs as nearly as much as the product!). We are currently running the cube off batteries which are still going strong after a couple of months of use!All in all a good product!

Ridiculously loud, far too bright, and about as relaxing as nails down a blackboard.
I was not at all impressed by this product, and I returned it.The lamp is incredibly, distractingly bright, and entirely unsuitable for a nightlight. The sounds it made were incredibly loud, also distracting (and not in a good way) and it was impossible to sleep with it on.My daughter and I both tried it. Personally, I preferred listening to my tinnitus that any of the sounds it produced, which were tinny and unpleasant. The light was far too bright - I could actually read by it! And as it is better to keep a sleeping room as dark as possible, even if using a discreet nightlight, this is not at all suitable for night time.My daughter hated it for the same reasons - too loud and bright even as far away from the bed as possible. It's also ugly, the buttons are cheap and not backlit, and confusing to work.Don't bother with this. If you need distracting at night buy a white noise machine and a regular plug in nightlight. This is dreadful tat.

Good for tinnitus sufferers
The product was not expensive and this is reflected in its quality...not very good. Not sure it will last very long but the old saying is right you get what you pay for. The different tunes are on a loop most of which are nursery rhymes the water/waves sound is quite soothing and I stop hearing the tinnitus sounds. The light would be quite nice for a nursery and the 10 minutes timer is handy.
