A lot bigger than i expected, quite a lot bigger than a stock cooler. Silent too

Works very well at what it does, plus its cheap so win-win but it has a few drawbacks. Firstly, it is difficult to fit if you have capacitors near the CPU socket as the heatsink protrudes quick a bit. It also sits very close to my ram but this could be considered both a downside and an upside as it does blow cool(ish) air over the modules. I would recommend this for the LGA1155 socket despite the overhang.

Although I did not need these items for cooling any part of a computer, they do work extremely well in the role in which they're being employed i.e. as part of a cooling device in an environmental chamber. They are being used in tandem either side of a Peltier unit to eliminate high temperatures and circulate low temperatures. For the price, very good value for money.

Fast delivery by Amazon as usual. This cooler is quite large,i had a couple of nervy moments trying to push 2 capacitors slightly out of the way. In the end i modified the base of the cooler with two half moon cut outs eventually getting it to fit. It is now working fine but was a bit of hassle trying to make it fit.

Does what it says. It's a fan, it's quiet as a moose. Excellent and fast delivery to boot.

It is abit anoying to instal the little stand offs for the screws but other wise super easy instal i have a i7 860 with a tdp of 95w it usually doesnt peak 75C after a hard gaming seasion and its really quite even after hitting 65C

Very quiet fan even at full speed, it doesn't however allow to mod it much, which is the main reason because I bought it, it comes with preapplied MX4 paste which is as far I know a very nice thermal paste.

Too loud and makes a bang noise every 10-20 seconds

Scrivo questa recensione dopo quasi due mesi di utilizzo, credo sia un tempo sufficiente per esprimere qualche opinione. Il dissipatore è decisamente semplice da montare, tranne per un particolare; se avete un case Mini, come il mio per una pc build minimalista, vi troverete a scontrarvi con un'assenza di spazio per poter fissare le viti alla base della ventola. Difatti siete costretti o ad utilizzare un cacciavite estremamente sottile, perché altrimenti dovete necessariamente rimuovere la ram (come ho fatto io) per poter fissare le viti da un lato; oppure uno strumento adatto, che abbia una forma a S o comunque funzioni a mo' di manovella; io ho tale strumento ma non delle dimensioni adatte per le viti in questione. Per tutto il resto, davvero, estremamente semplice ed intuitivo. Le istruzioni sono chiarissime e non potete davvero sbagliarvi. Ho apprezzato inoltre la pasta termica di ottima qualità preapplicata. Riguardo il rumore; se non avete un programma per controllare gli RPM delle ventole (o una scheda madre che supporti tale funzione ma credo la maggioranza lo faccia) non posso dire di aver notato differenze grosse fra il dissipatore Intel che avevo e questa; per "grosse" intendo che il rumore sarà sicuramente minore, ma lo sentirete e noterete comunque. Invece se utilizzate un programma adatto (io uso quello ufficiale per schede madri Gigabyte) potete sicuramente portare la ventola a livelli di rumore bassissimi senza precludere nulla alla sicurezza, e addirittura potete impostare la ventola in modo tale che giri effettivamente solo quando è necessario. Nel senso, la ventola resta immobile se la CPU la utilizzate per azioni che non mettono sotto stress la CPU (andare sui social, scrivere, usare excel, guardare video) e inizia a girare quando invece la CPU è sotto stress. Io il PC lo uso principalmente per scrivere e giocare, e devo dire che se faccio la prima cosa la ventola sta muta letteralmente come se non ci fosse. Comunque una grossa differenza è il fatto che in precedenza la ventola la udivo spesso e volentieri anche se utilizzavo le cuffie (se avete PS4 sapete di che parlo); ora invece assolutamente no, almeno fin quando ho le cuffie addosso. Riguardo le temperature, non ho fatto test adatti per esprimere giudizi efficaci (potete trovare tanti test se fate qualche ricerca) però posso dire che durante il gaming prima la CPU toccava talvolta il 77 gradi, ora nelle maggioranza dei casi arriva si e no a 68 scarsi. Andare sopra i 70 l'ho visto solo una volta e con un gioco quale GTA V. L'ho pagato una cifra irrisoria, Arctic è una garanzia di qualità, praticamente funziona alla grande. Non posso dire quanto sia efficace con l'overclock perché non l'ho testato. A me interessava la questione rumore e prendere un dissipatore migliore; devo dire che ho fatto centro.

Instalado con la capa pre-aplicada original que lleva. Puesto en procesador i5 2400 de 95W. Todo esto por 9€. Increíble. Temperatura máxima alcanzada durante el mes de 17/abril/2016 a tope (100%) durante 10 minutos 72ºC Máximos (25ºC ambiente) con 4 sesiones de CPU-BURN, uno en cada hilo de procesamiento. Un diferencial de 47ªC, mucho pero mejor que el disipa de intel, que llega al delta de 60ºC. Ese nivel de estrés nunca será usado en el trabajo cotidiano, puesto que nunca pasa de 57ºC de temperatura máxima de uso diario normal, que es genial para un disipador de este precio. Tengo la seguridad de que con otra pasta térmica conseguiría una reducción de 3/5ºC. El ruido es inapreciable.

Works very well. I didn't use the plug, so I don't know if it works in computers well or not.

My Intel i5 750 is a great CPU. Has been for the years I've had it, but the stock heatsink was awful. On idle my CPU would be 45-48C, browsing the Internet it'd be 50-52C, and gaming it'd get well over 60C. I just couldn't take it anymore; I needed an aftermarket heatsink so I wouldn't damage my CPU. After looking for an appropriate heatsink for my CPU/mobo I came across the Alpine 11 Plus. $10? How can you beat that? I immediately ordered it, waited 2 days for Prime to ship it, and installed it with (little to) no problems. It's quite big, so be aware of that. I had to shimmy it a bit in order to align with the holes in my mobo. but after that, it was golden. Now my CPU runs 7-10 degrees cooler. Idling I'm at 36-38C, browsing online 40-41C, and gaming I haven't seen it go over 55C. In fact, I was playing Call of Juarez: Gunslinger on ultra and it didn't go above 50C. I am truly happy with this heatsink and will be buying products from ARTIC in the future.

Es handelt sich um den Kühler "ARCTIC Alpine 11 PLUS". Diesen habe ich für einen Office-PC benötigt, da der dort verbaute CoolerMaster- (quasi Stock-) Kühler bei sehr geringer CPU-Last schon auf seine 3500 RPM hochgedreht hat, was sehr deutlich zu hören war. Die Temperaturen waren dabei jedoch bei nur 45 °C, was noch im grünen Bereich ist für leichte Belastung (alter Intel Dual-Core). Die hohe Auslastung des alten und des neuen Lüfters sind natürlich aufgrund des schlechten PWM-Managements des verbauten Mainboards. Dennoch ist der PC nun dank diesen neuen Lüfters deutlich leiser und auch 5-10 °C kühler. Alle anderen mechanischen Komponenten des PCs (Netzteil-, Grafikkartenlüfter, Festplatten) sind sowohl bei Volllast, als auch bei "Standby"-Betrieb, lauter, als der CPU-Lüfter -> Top! Es wird oft über eine schlechte Befestigung o.Ä. rezensiert, jedoch war der Einbau für mich ohne Spezialwerkzeug oder Hilfe recht einfach und unkompliziert. Man muss jedoch beachten, dass man vom alten Lüfter (falls man einen ersetzt) die evtl. verbaute Backplate (auf der Rückseite des Mainboards) entfernt, da ansonsten die Löcher für die Halterung zu klein sind und es durch Gewalteinwirkung dann zu Schäden kommen kann, wofür Arctic aber nichts kann. Zusammenfassung: Relativ leiser - nicht lautloser, aber leiser - Lüfter, welcher auch eine passable Kühlleistung liefert. Je nachdem welche CPU gekühlt werden soll, ist dieser ein echter Preis/Leistungs-Tipp. Installation ist recht einfach - Wärmeleitpaste ist bereits aufgetragen. Kühler passt auch gut auf mATX (evtl. nicht alle).
