I wish I had taken a photo of it. The instructions are kind of bland mostly have to figure out for yourself to get it to work. I received it and it seemed to be intact but when trying to open or close it would not move. Had to take off the back plate and noticed that the whole inside was all broken and wires were everywhere after gluing and putting all the pieces back to where they seemed they belonged and the Spicket that moves it up and down back together it works like a charm. Not sure if I will be installing this or will be returning and asking for a new one. Kinda disappointed that I buy a product and I have to fix it before I could even use it. I would’ve just made my own if that was the case. Plus the door is a flimsy plastic. So I am really doubtful that it is going to be waterproof. *** it doesn’t work anymore! Solar won’t charge and doesn’t open and close when needed to. There’s no contact for a customer service representative so can’t even see if there’s a way to get a replacement

At first glance, this chicken coop door looks very sturdy and robust. However, when I received it and took it out of its packaging, I could tell something was immediately wrong. Parts were jiggling inside and when I charged up the solar panel, it would not work at all to open up the door. So I opened it up and realized that the arm that raises the door was completely disconnected, as if it was not even assembled Properly to the motor. Also, the door is not aluminum. It is a plastic rollup door that does not even lock when fully closed. That means any animal can take their claws and lift this door up and get to the flock inside the coop. don’t waste your money . Spend a little more and buy something halfway decent because this door is absolute garbage. for the price you would think this would be a decent strong door but it’s not.

Bought this awhile ago because I was remodeling an old chicken coop, installed it 2 weeks ago (very easy installation) and absolutely love it! Works great! Chickens never left out at night, and works even on rainy drizzly foggy mornings! ***UPDATE*** Mine stopped working after 2 months, took it apart and the bushing that is connected to the door came off the shaft motor. I put it back on with some Loctite, and it is as good as NEW!

When it powered on, it sounded like the motor was just spinning nonstop with the door not moving. After it doing this for an entire day, I tried moving the door by hand and was able to open and close it easily. This made me come back and check reviews and I found this happened to a lot of other people. I opened up the unit and one part had been installed backwards and the motor had not been connected to the door. It's completely unacceptable that this many customers are receiving either broken or incomplete units. I DO NOT recommend this product.

This style of door is exactly what I needed for my small space. True this product doesn't come with instructions, however, it's not difficult to figure it out. There are enough screws to attach the door to the wall and hang the solar panel. There are tiny nails with hooks that are used to keep the cords against the wall. It comes preprogramed so no need to set a clock or timer. The green button controls everything. Push it quickly to toggle between the different settings which are identified by the colored light. Green: instant switch (sunrise/sunset), Blue: 30 minute delay, Red: 60 minute delay. Holding down the green button for a long time will automatically open/close the door. I've had this door installed for two weeks and it has work exactly as described. . . Now 6 months later I'm not as happy. We had a big snow storm. It thawed a bit, dripped and refroze. Maybe some water got in even though it says waterproof. Anyway. It will open about an inch then stop. When I push the green button to manually open/close it closes the door and opens it to the inch again. Ugh!!! For the money spent, it should last longer.

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my wife and I just now finally got to install it. It makes you cut the box up to use for a template so after I pretty much had to destroy the box to make the template to cut out the door once I got it all mounted and installed. The motor will not open and close the door after I disassembled it to see what was going on. I found out the motor is messed up a complete waste of money. Do not purchase.

This product is poorly built and didn’t work straight out of the box. I powered up the unit and it wouldn’t open and close properly (the door would open partially, maybe halfway and then maybe 3/4 of the way and when it tried to close, it closed once but then it stopped closing all the way). If you buy this coop door please check out the operation of the door before you cut a hole in your coop. This isn’t a cheap coop door and was highly disappointed with the workmanship and operation!!!!!
