South Korean razor blades.
A good product to use, but unfortunately the price went up and became very expensive. I was put off.

comfortable Shave
I was dubious about 6 blades particularly since most advice I've seen says that over 3 blades is overkill. I was previously using Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 but I didn't like the lubrication which covered my face so I was considering the Mach 3 after various supermarket own brands failed and left my face sore. But then I found Dorco on Amazon and took the plunge into the Pace 6+ which is top of the range in the U.K.This order was delivered promptly before the estimated delivery date and comprised a retail pack of the razor handle with two cartridges and the razor holder/tray and a retail pack of 4 cartridges. The clamshell packaging was scored presumably so that the razor could be removing by pulling it open. But that didn't work for me so I used kitchen scissors to get the razor out.The razor handle was hard to pull out of the holder but I soon discovered the knack of twisting the razor handle to get it out. Now I have thrown out the holder because it's too inconvenient to use. I would have preferred a holder and sucker like some of the newer shave clubs are providing. My first cartridge was already fitted but I removed it and fitted the other cartridge and that was easy and intuitive. In use there is a difference between 5 blades and 6 blades. With the 6+ i can get a good shave with just one pass with the grain and if I want a closer shave I can additionally shave across the grain. No need to risk burn and ingrown hairs by shaving against the grain. The trimmer blade on the back of the cartridge doesn't work for me and pulls at the hair underneath my nostrils rather than shaving them. So far I have done 7 daily shaves and the blades are still sharp. I would estimate it would last at least 10 days to 2 weeks or even longer but I will continue to change the cartridge weekly as I usually do. Significant is that the different cartridges fit on all the handles. So when you start you're not stuck with that cartridge and can downgrade or upgrade to a different number of blades without needing to buy a whole new razor.I use it with Bulldog Original Shave Gel 175ml (Pack of 2) which works very well for me.At the age of 65 I have tracked the big G from DE razors to the current cartridge razors. It's still the best a man can get but at a high price. Now I'm an O.A.P. and I cannot afford it.Overall this razor loses a star for the bad design of the razor holder and the trimmer blade but still retains 5 stars for the rest of the system. A very comfortable shave which doesn't cost the earth.

Better than the 'Big Names' in every way.
I really really don't like shaving but look scruffy and old with a beard. I wanted something cheaper, quicker and easier than the 'rip-off' big names.6 months later, I'm back for more blades.I wanted a cheaper shave - as the 'big names' are far too expensive. I Tried the old 'throat cutter' razor because once bought it only needed occasional sharpening and even the safety razor, (where the blades are pennies not £'s to buy) but I find them a little too harsh and gave me razor burn. I really wanted them to work to save some money. Somehow I got onto the Dorco page and read the reviews.I find Dorco every bit as comfortable, easy to use, and durable (long lasting) as the 'big names' which I won't give free advertising to, even if it's negative feedback. They are a little cheaper than the 'big names' but I find them lasting a little longer than them. So that's a double win. Most men like me dislike shaving. It's just a time consuming effort that has to be repeated daily. And yes, I've tried a beard, but I find it ageing - by a lot… ha!. All we want is to wash, brush teeth, shave and shower … not all at once … although it would save us time. We want quick and easy - but not expensive. For a long time I have felt ripped off by the big names - and it's annoyed me. That's why I have tried so many other razors. I've bought the lot, from disposable one's, super-market's own brand etc and I find them un-comfortable and they drag the bristles. I also think having Fibro-myalgia makes this worse, as any pain, no matter how small is amplified in the brain. From left-field come Dorco - and they're great razors. And I shall continue to use them and perhaps buy in bulk making them cheaper unless for some reason quality drops. So Dorco is cheaper, more durable and is as easy as it could ever be to shave … and that's what us blokes are looking for … and ladies if you shave your legs :-) you'll find them as comfortable if not more so than any other blade! This is my honest review - and I have not been given samples :-)

High quality but not perfect
This is a good razor but it has some limitations. If my face was perfectly flat, this would probably give me the closest shave of my lifetime. However, after using this every day for two weeks, I still struggled to get a consistently smooth shave around my chin, neck and mouth. My face glows afterwards as well, and not in a particularly good way.The extra single blade on the reverse side of the head is not very sharp so is useless for trimming sideburns or just under the nose.Overall, this is a fair priced, high quality, solidly built razor, but it doesn't deliver on all levels.Unfortunately for me, I have already returned to using my Gillette Pro Fusion which I feel is worth the extra few quid.
