Fast-forward 100 years. What remains of the human population now survives in relative peace behind massive walls erected in defence against the Titans. That peace is shattered when a Colossal Titan, measuring over 50 meters tall, smashes through the wall and allows a horde of other Titans to enter. Eren Yeager had resigned himself to a life confined behind these walls. “Nothing I do would make a difference”, he thought. But when he joins the ‘Outer Wall Restoration Team’ set up to fight against the Titans, he is reunited with Mikasa, a childhood friend. The new recruits embark on a mission to plug the gaping hole in the wall and stop the waves of titans once and for all. With humanity’s survival on the line, will there be a future for Eren and Mikasa, and for mankind itself? Language: Japanese with English Subtitles

Attack on Titan Part 1
Attack on Titan Parts 1 & 2 The live action movie..... These have got a bad rep from the masses of fans that have lived on the animated TV Show since 2013. However I like it and think it sits well as a re-mkae of the anime show. I thought it was fun, well acted and well animated. Worth a watch if you are a fan of the show.

Its not 'the' Attack on Titan, but it's still Huge!
It looks and sounds great but it is not a live action version of the anime tale! It is more a retold story with many similar themes and characters but not necessarily in the same way as the anime. The time setting seems different as they travel by truck not horse, but then filming the anime may have been too high a budget!Effects are very good in HD and the titans well designed, some recognisable from the anime! ODM gear flying is also realistically handled and I was impressed overall.Standout moment is when Eren’s abnormal appears and resembles the anime version to a thrilling “T”!Darker and more modern than the anime but I think it stands on its own huge feet!Having a part one and part two is a little annoying budget wise!

A live action version not a re-make of the original
This was an enjoyable, yet slightly flawed, live action version of Attack on Titan. While there are a few plot holes, it captures the spirt of the original and presents it well in a live action film. It is not a direct remake of the original, as if I am going to be honest, that probably would have been too difficult to do. (Lets not forget the live action version of the Fist of the North Star and others...)The action is very good and the battle scenes capture the concepts of the original. There are some direct parallels with the original as well which add to the feeling. It is not as good as the original I will admit that, but it is worth a look. It was a tough call on the score, I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. I think the final 20 mins were good enough to push it to a 4.Roll on part 2!

Amazing film.... Keeps you hooked to the end
Brilliant film. I wanted to watch this as soon as it came out so I was happy when I received it as a gift!! The film itself is brilliant. A good storyline with some great effects. Good acting and keeps you hooked until the end. This movie is a two parter so be sure to buy both 1 & 2, worth every penny!!!

Awesome film, marred by mediocre release.
There seem to be a two camps with regard to the Attack On Titan live action movie: those who adore the original anime series are disappointed and annoyed that the laws of the universe couldn't be bent to condense 25 hours of animation into a couple of 90 minute films, and those who appreciate this for what it is: a live action interpretation of the Attack on Titan story arc with its themes and set-pieces. And in that, these two films are an awesome success. And far more than simply being a nice adaptation, the live action edition, in realising the story with real people and effects, offers something the anime series can't - a genuine tangible sense of empathy, and horror. Taking the same aesthetics and designs as the lumbering manga giants, the titans in the movie are nothing short of terrifying in their child-like indifference, unnerving appearance, and unflinching brutality. It's truly the stuff of nightmares. I defy you to watch the very first wall sequence without at least a few hairs standing up on your neck. The film itself I'd easily give four stars, but this blu-ray release, only really deserves a three. Picture quality is superb, in fact very hard to fault, detail is immense, colour and blacks perfect representation of the intended cinematography, but the sound is just a little bit too lazy and wimpy for my liking, especially given that this is an "event" movie. Don't get me wrong, the 5.1 DTS-HD is perfectly adequate, but I just felt it really could have done with being a little more dynamic in the punchier places, and utilised the sound field better to create a greater sense of immersion. There's not much bottom end to it either. Not sure if this is an up-mix from 2.1, but it kind of feels that way a lot of the time. The second major down-point is that there's ZERO special features. Not even the English dub. No bonus episode of the anime, no making of, not even the trailer. That's exceptionally poor, especially given the price of this release! I hear that Madman have the Australian rights to this, so am hoping that they can put out something better. That said, this is certainly a nice release of the film, but it's just that. The film.

TERRIBLE LIVE ACTION VERSION OF AN AWSOME ANIME SERIES!!.
Totally Disappointed after watching this Film version of the awesome Anime. Any fan of AOT who fancies seeing this i'd say not to bother!! the plot is totally different to the Manga and Anime it's based off! The first thing that got me mad was there are No Horses!!! they use Mad Max style Wagons! even worse!! Bizzarely Eren's parents have died before the Titans attack and his sister Mikassa seems to be his love interrest!! and Armin hardly gets any screen time and is nothing like his original character in looks or action! the only bit they have kept is when Eren saves Armin from been eaten and gets his arm bitten off then swallowed then eventually turns into his Titan form which is were this PART1 ends!. I felt nothing for any of the leads or support characters and wished they all got eaten by the Titans!!The Blu-ray is in Japanese with English subtitles which spoilt my view! i'd rather have it English dubed and there are NO extras!!!!!So all in all enjoy the Anime series and the Manga but leave this live action version alone!!!.
