Bought as backup for filter. Just a bit more piece of mind

I was traveling to a remote area for 1 week where I need water for drinking and cooking. I ordered 2 of these filters separately and both were damaged or shipped broken however, I did not notice the main fill inlet connection was cracked off and missing before I left. The shipping box was so inadequate as it barely fit the filter. Instructions were also not supplied with the filters. My original unit hose connections were “zipped tied” from the factory and I’m not sure if that is even required. Needless to say, we had to boil our water which was not very convenient. I’m very dissatisfied but will keep buying until the filter is shipped correctly and not damaged.

Ordered two of these and the community filter for over $500.oo the two extra filter showed up right on time but the filter supposedly went some 116 miles away. Amazon reordered and now ups is saying they have not received the filter from "LIFE STRAW." Tried calling Life Straw but a recording says that their voice mail is full and " good bye." Did a search on line and found that life straw has a lot of complaints with the BBB. So I'll have to wait and see where this ends up. BUYER BEWAR!!!!!!!! Wish I had the option of a less than 0 stars.

Ordered 2 of these and both came in broken. Both were shipped in the manufactures box which were the biggest joke of all, thin paper like box that wasnt even taped! Ordering a 3rd and hoping it's better.
