Super Bomberman R (Nintendo Switch)

Expensive? Yes.However, the game is great and extremely fun to play. Konami know that this is the best selling Bomberman title in a LONG time and are investing in patching the game to be the quality you expect for that price. They're due to release a patch to make the controls even more responsive in the next couple of days and you can find more info on their site if you don't believe me.I'd recommend this if you love Bomberman, it's worth the money in my opinion.

A decent addition to your library of games but I'd recommend getting it second hand or on sale.I find the "story mode" entertaining but a little too punishing as you have multi-stage missions where you have a number of lives and this number stays the same unless you finish several maps. This means if you lose, you either spend coins (earned by playing the game online or co-op) or giving up, meaning you have to start the world again. Can get a little frustrating if you ask me if you were on the 5th-7th level of that world.The game mechanics and controls are pretty good though and I think that this is a worthy addition to the switch, just at a lower price point, maybe £20 is fair.I tried finding online games but was sitting in searching queue for 10 minutes without finding anyone which may indicate a tiny player base so I'd consider this a story/1 vs computer/local multiplayer game only.Art style is easy on the eyes and easy to get used to after just a few games.Would I recommend it?Yes and no.If you have some friends/family members that will play local multiplayer, yes, it's worth getting when the price drops a bit further.If not, I'd say give it a skip and get other games.As someone who's looking for a "campaign" style solo gameplay. I would value this game at £10.

Great graphics this game is greatly underrated 5 stars price went up am glad. Super bomberman is a fantastic game.I have read the old reviews for this game and all problems have been fixed there are no problems. When you insert the cartridge it automatically downloads nearly 2 Gigabytes off data to the game.Trust me dont believe the 1 star votes an complaints ive played this game since the 80s an has improved vastly.Its an incredible game. Buy it , its gonna be a rare one on cartridge as a lot off people are overlooking this game; is a must.

It's actually 3-stars, however I'm giving one more as a bonus to Konami, hoping that they will fix some issues regarding the controls.I am a huge multiplayer Bomberman fan and I was so glad it got released on the Switch. I have to admit, however, that the controls do not feel that smooth. There seems to be some input lag on the controls, which is crucial for a Bomberman game. You will get lots of accidental deaths.Online matches sometimes work great, other times it's just impossible to play due to huge lag.Overall, it's a great addition for the Switch, and hopefully Konami will fix these early issues.

Such high expectations, and everything gets blamed on price. I got mine for £22.99 because I buy tactically and not splashing my cash.The game itself, in my opinion, is definitely sluggish in comparison to previous generation bomberman games, but, geez, it shouldn't be stabbed in the back by poor ratings.If you're complaining about the price, remove a star. If you're complaining about the speed of the game, remove another star. Don't just say "Garbage" - 1 star. Please review the game fully. Write an essay if you have to, and review the game as fair as you can.Good if you refunded it. I don't want to encounter you guys online.

Bomberman is just so much fun, the whole family has been playing this since it arrived and we are completely addicted to the game. there are so many different mazes and levels to choose from and you can play four players all together at once which is so much fun. We were all laughing so much trying to beat each other and it gets so tense at the end of a game when the time starts running out! Just buy it you will be so chuffed you did!

Had this a week and its taken this long to realise that I have actually been royally ripped off with this. Big nintendo fan so launch day i eagerly opened my switch, zelda, 1-2 switch and this. I've desperately wanted to love it, after all its release day of my brand new toy, and bomberman should be the perfect game for this format... but it is actually useless! The online is unplayable. The lag / game hangs ruin it completely - how hard is it to run network games of bomberman ??? we can run COD or battlefield with many more players and run them perfect, yet bomberman is unplayable. the controls in local multiplayer are awful and clunky, i keep killing myself at the start of games, it's just horrid to play. Oh how i wish for the advanced Sega Saturn with its 10 players and all round awesomness (nearly 20 years ago i'm guessing that came out). The only thing i can put this down to is purely to rip off a quick buck from loyal nintendo customers, if they had an ounce of pride there's no way they could put out such a useless version of a classic game at such a high price.

Lazy and somewhat uninspired addition to the series with mediocre visuals, repetitive music and annoying voice acting that you can't seem to disable. The story mode is basically unplayable because of the stupid, unchangeable camera angle that invariably messes you up when trying to move.Online seems to be poorly implemented with bad lag compensation, my own movement was very delayed and it took a long time for the matchmaker to actually find games (although, this is probably more to do with this being a new release, so take this point as you will)It's a shame, it's been so long since an actual Bomberman title.If this were £5-£10, then sure, I'd get this for the multiplayer alone, but as it stands, it's not worth the full price.
