Spear & Jackson BWF3 1/2" Female & 1/2" Male Brass Hose Connectors

Seem a good product and a lot cheaper than previous products I have used especially when using prime considerable saving.

I'd previously bought some C.K G7903 Watering Systems Female Hose Connector and was in the process of ordering more, but the delivery was about three weeks. Then I noticed these Spear & Jackson connectors which, from the picture, looked the same. They were a couple of pounds cheaper too, so I took a chance and ordered the Spear & Jackson branded version. When they arrived it was obvious that they are the same item. Apart from that, they are solid, well made, with slick moving parts and a solid leakproof connection to their brass counterpart. Very happy with them and also happy I've found them a bit cheaper because I intend to replace all my plastic hose connectors with these.

At last a connector which really works. I've had several which flew apart, and others which leaked badly. This one has a really positive action. It grips firmly and securely and does not leak at all. I had trouble with the push fit, because it's such a positive connection, and you need to retract the slider before pushing it on. No problem if you do this. Just bought 2 more, well worth the money.

NOT FOR TAPS! I purchased two of these on the understanding they were to connect my hoses to my outdoor taps; however these are male hosepipe connectors that insert into the female hosepipe connectors great quality I just got it wrong!

These are excellent, and way better than the Hozelock plastic products, even their Pro range which doesn't last any better. These are solid, well made and click together really nicely. No more water constantly dribbling from the joints, though there is still a tiny bit of leakage from the tap connectors. Still, very happy.

Good quality product. Fits well and doesn't leak. Connects well with attachments. Surprisingly cheap.

I got this to go with my new anti-kink hose and it works absolutely fine. It's a solidly made piece of kit and obviously so much more sturdy that the usual plastic fittings you get everywhere. It seemed to work fine, with no leaks. The only thing is to remember to pull the collar back when connecting and removing. Yes, it costs a bit more, but it won't break the bank and it's definitely an improvement that should last for years to come.

Cannot complain about this. I used this to replace a 2 year old set of plastic Hozelock adaptors which were useless. This reeks of high quality and longevity. Love it and would highly recommend getting this to replace nasty plastic bits. They all fit snugly, no leaks and feel great.
