I'm Not Scared...I'm Prepared!: Because I Know All about Alice

This book is GREAT!! I wanted my kids to be prepared for their active shooter drills at school and this book was a great way to present a difficult topic in an age-appropriate way (kids are 4 & 6yr). My daughter loved the book so much that she wanted to bring it to school...her teacher read it to the class, and then passed it around for the other teachers to read, as well.

My kid is 5. She loves it. She hasn't caught on that my voice cracks a bit when I read it. I try to tie it in to her schools plan, but shr also needs it for anywhere else we go.

It is unfortunate that we have to even buy these types of books but I am very pleased that it is perfect to bring awareness to our littles.

My child is in kindergarten and due to the gravity of our society, I felt that I needed to somehow prepare him. This book is perfect for that. It communicates preparedness in a way that he understands.

I bought this book to use during ALICE training at our school. It is an important part of the curriculum in PreK, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. The storyline is not scary at all, and a great way to introduce the concepts to younger children. A must have for all schools who teach safety to students!
