A little too soon to tell just yet. But I am enjoying it. My dad was Ukrainian so I like to do learn the language.

Es un libro muy interesante para aprender ucraniano. Explica todo en los laterales y los ejercicios van complementados con los audios. El diccionario de dos vías junto con inglés está muy bien. Hay apartados para resumir la gramática.Por poner una pega, la cursiva. No sé si es que la fuente de la cursiva es habitual en Ucrania; si es así entonces está bien el sobreesfuerzo de hacer los ejercicios en cursiva; si no es así entonces debería cambiarse esa fuente, es horrible. (Modificación: la cursiva es importante en Ucrania y se aprende en la escuela desde niños, por lo que es perfecto!)

It is true that the audio quality could be better, as mentioned in another review.However: this book has many drills (repetitive language exercises) that are really helpful when you're trying to use the various grammar structures of Ukrainian fluently and confidently. For this alone the book is worth its money for me. In theory, at a certain level, you'll be able to create such drills on your own, but it is way easier to use a book like this to get your daily dose of practice.Grammar explanations are good. The included beginner's dictionary in the back is more than a word list but done in the same style and depth as the author's other work, the Ukrainian-English Collocation Dictionary.Highly recommended if you're learning Ukrainian independently and need more material.
