Easy to install, no more leak
Worked perfectly. My in wall toilet cistern had been leaking water into the pan slowly for a week or so. I was able to change the original rubber seal for this one without removing the mechanism from the cistern, just turning it upside down in place. Much easier then taking all the components out like the youtube videos had instructed. Worked instantly, no more leaking water.

Save ££££s
There are many negative comments in some reviews about this product. But having searched six plumber's merchants, some of whom were national stores, non came up with a replacement for a common fault, namely a leaking toilet cistern. With some trepidation I found this product on Amazon and took the plunge and ordered it. Fitting took a couple of minutes and the leak was gone. This clear washer is a perfect replacement for the old greyish green type. BTW. After I'd ordered the product I did read in another review that the old blistered washer can be successfully repaired by bursting the blisters with a sharp pointed knife. It worked okay - but for how long? Now that's an emergency spare with the new one in situe.

Exact fit for many types of Geberit Flush Valve - normally no tools required
After about 15 years, our cloakroom toilet cistern was leaking a little due to the flush washer having become swollen in places. It was easy to fix and apart from a screwdriver to turn off the water (at the service valve), no tools were needed. The main requirement is to check that the washer is the correct one. The steps are: (1) remove lid of cistern: some just lift off, I had to unscrew the button push (2) turn off water supply to cistern and flush to empty (3) remove flush mechanism: mine unclipped, some have to be turned anticlockwise (4) Pull seal to the side to remove - it is very soft (5) Replace with new seal and re-assemble parts, turn on water and test The old seal was blistered and as temporary fix, I pricked the many blisters - what looked like water came out - and made the seal flat again.

Easy to replace and saves ££££s on plumbers bills
After many years service the flush valve in my toilet cistern began to fail, allowing water to continually run into the toilet pan. As with most flush valves it was likely to be a problem with a valve seal (soft rubber washer) not the flush valve itself. One quick turn, anticlockwise, and the valve was out revealing a rubber seal at its base that had a number of 'water blisters' on it. These blisters were the culprit by slightly lifting the seal and preventing a watertight fit. I simply punctured the blisters with a pin and replaced the flush valve. Problem temporarily solved, the valve shut off after flushing, as it should, with no water continually running into the pan. I found the required seal on Amazon when I looked up Geberit Flush valves (the name written on the valve itself) and for less than £2 I have now received and replaced the old seal. This has saved me £££s on a complete replacement valve when only the seal needed replacing, and even more £F££s had I called out a plumber to do this very easy task. It is also my understanding that these new transparent seals are not prone to blistering as was the old grey version. perfect for many years to come and well recommended.

Not the same as the original part
This is not an exact replacement for original Geberit flush valve sealing washer but it works. The original has a beveled side which fits snugly with the rounded base of the flush value. This one is flat on both sides.

Simple solution
I stumbled across this by accident as the solution to a loo that continued to trickle water through after flushing, which was caused by the old style grey seal at the bottom of the flush valve (the contraption attached to the middle of the base of the cistern that sends the water into the toilet when you flush). If you’re lucky the flush valve is made up of two sections that can be separated by grasping the bottom section to hold in place and firmly turning the main / upper section slightly anti-clockwise to release it. Once lifted out, if the old grey seal at the bottom is the problem - ours had blisters exactly as described by other reviewers - it is so simply to replace with this one. Very satisfying and no more running toilet.
