Mamas & Papas Playmat & Activity Gym (Octopus)

This plamat is so great! My 3 mo old loves it. The padded angular portion of the octopus is so great for not only tummy time but she loves being able to be propped up looking around. It is plush enough for hardwood floors and the crinkly legs and rattles are perfect for her kicking feet and hands! It's bright colors and patterns are perfect for her little eyes to look at and the little mirror at the top is a great tool for her developing senses. Definitely worth the higher price and can't wait until she gets the other mamas and papas plamat with the lights and sounds for Christmas!

I will say that I love the item but did not receive the item expected. The colors were not the same. Same brand and item just more masculine (darker purple and gray with different hanging items).

This is an ok item that is not as multi-use for the money you are going to spend on it but it is cute. It can be used to have the baby lay down but if your baby starts to roll over they will land on the floor because the diameter of this is rather small. It can be used to put them on tummy time again if the roll over as they start doing or lift their legs and they will go head first to the floor. So in the end I did not see this a a practical investment of a baby item as a baby exercise mat that has a greater surface area.

Very cute mat and was a hit with my son until he could crawl. Love that you can detach the hanging toys. This mat is very soft but the fabric looooves pet hair. Using a lint roller barely helps since the fabric weave is such that it really holds the hair.

We ordered this playmat after hours upon hours of research and debating back and forth, and I couldn't be happier with this product! Not only does this playmat and gym look great (which makes mommy and daddy happy), but our baby LOVES it (about three weeks and a half weeks when we got it, almost 7 weeks now). Every morning our daughter has her independent playtime on this mat, it's great because she isn't just flat on her back, but is slightly propped up, so she can look around a lot easier. She loves swatting at the cute fish and octopus and looking at herself in the clam mirror as well! You can also do a propped up tummy time on this. Would definitely recommend this mat, and would certainly buy another if they were to make other designs :)

My 10 month old has been using this since he was 3 weeks old and lasts about 10 minutes on it before wanting to move on to something else. I like that it's not totally hideous like some playmats and the dangly toys can be moved around on the mat or even taken off to use somewhere else. My cat loves curling up on it too.

Love this play mat! My 3 month old also loves it. It's not over stimulating and it's an attractive baby toy. My son kicks his legs and loves the octopus legs and the sounds they make. I love the stages and the elevated head rest.

My baby was happy being propped up on the padded section and was entertained by the dangling toys. However, she dozed off and turned over due to the angle of the cushion, face down. We were watching her and caught but it could be really dangerous if your baby was left sleeping on this mat. I was very nervous about using this play gym after that incident.
