Cats are addicted !
My cats love this powder and want it at every meal. It contains L theanine and I originally purchased it from my vet to relax an anxious kitty who suffered from incurable idiopathic cystitis. now he has no more issues and I use this powder to entice him to eat when it’s not his favorite food. They both love it as a treat especially in the evenings, so they are less inclined to disturb us with the zoomies. Relaxes the pets and improves appetite. I always have it on hand.

CAREFUL!!! IT RAISES SUGAR GLUCOSE LEVELS
I am shocked as to how well Purina Calming Care for cats has worked!... I adopted an abandoned 1 yr old VERY large 15 lb (un-neutered) male kitty 1 1/2 yrs ago & got him neutered immediately. The challenge was I already had a super mellow 11 lb 15 yr old male cat that the young "brute" despised... Right out of the starting gate the new male addition began attacking my older boy on a regular basis. I knew he was very jealous of him. Un-fortunately, my 15 yr old cat was being bullied weekly by the young male. I tried EVERYTHING from pheromone collars, diffusers, sprays, shock collar (1 week), & CBD oil, & none of these things would stop the brute's weekly stalking attacks. There were more than numerous occasions I felt I would have to re-home the new cat. (Last week's attack on my 15 yr old was so brutal that I had planned to surrender the young male cat to the SPCA the next day.)... Later that same night directly following the attack, I read an article about Purina Calming Care. It almost sounded too good to be true & too simple to work so well. But, what did I have to lose? After all, I had tried everything else.... I have been giving the young male cat 1 packet of the Calming Care sprinkled & mixed into his wet food every early evening for the past 5 evenings. (I chose the evening time to give him the Calming Care because 95% of the time his "Bully Attitude" / attacks would happen in the evenings & outdoors where he would "ambush" my older male cat.)... Well, I'll be darn! For the past 5 nights, I have had a perfect young male "gentleman" cat hanging out with me on my living room couch. He is thoroughly calm & behaves like any other normal cat. He's not the amped, fired-up young "male stud" cat wanting to go outside at night to be / act like a typical, on-the-prowl, fighting Tom Cat like he use to be. Now, the young boy seems perfectly content... AND, not 1 hair on my 15 yr old male cat's body has been touched by the young "brute" in the past 5 days.... I can honestly say that I am truly baffled as to how something so simple as probiotics, specifically "BL999," which is what's in Calming Care, could work so doggone well. But, so far, it has brought a great deal of peace into my home, & has changed a cat from being a Bully to a content cat that I'm really wanting to keep... Even my sweet 15 yr old male cat is a bit confused & surprised with the peaceful change. : ) ** WARNING UPDATE: THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS MALTODEXTRIN (IT SPIKES CARBOHYDRATES & IS AS BAD AS TABLE SUGAR WITH CATS GLUCOSE LEVELS. THE SYMPTOMS RESULT WITH INCREASED HUNGER & FOOD CRAVINGS, & CAN LEAD TO DIABETES.)... AFTER ONLY (1) MONTH, MY CAT PUT ON A LOT MORE WEIGHT & BECAME LITERALLY BORDER-LINE OBESE... I WOULD (NOT) RECOMMEND THIS TO BE USED WITH ANY ANIMAL. NOT IF IT CAN LEAD TO DIABETES.

Cat parents: THIS STUFF ACTUALLY WORKS.
My cat is an adult. My cat has always been naturally skittish. He hates company and my guests used to think he was a myth. A few days of this amd he actually comes out to see the guests every so often. His social anxiety is so much less. He lets more people pet him now. That alone is worth the price and 5 stars. Cat parents: THIS STUFF ACTUALLY WORKS.

Cats like it
I wouldn’t say this has calmed my cats down to 0% crazy, but I do think it has taken the edge off. Less crazed zoomies at night. They also PREFER their food with this now lol. Meow when given food without this sprinkled on. I wish it wasn’t so expensive.

Great for cats with anxiety issues.
This product is amazing! My cat loves the taste. It says on the package that it take 6 weeks to see results, but I saw results after a few days. She is so much calmer, not hiding as much. Definitely helped with her anxiety. I love the fact that this is natural. I didn't want to put her on the anxiety medication our vet recommended, to many side affects. I would truly recommend this product!

Good product.
Works on my cats and they seem to like the taste. Whenever I spread it on the food they look at as a treat.

Not for my problem child cat
After giving it a try for 2 months & following directions, I have seen no change in my aggressive, neurotic, anxious cat. It did not work. Maybe it’s just this specific cat who has more anxiety than any cat who has lived with me over the years. He is a neutered male, age 12, who has become more aggressive with age & is a horrible bully to my other cat, a spayed female also age 12. I’ve ordered many, many products advertised as calming for cats & nothing has worked. The vet only offers gabapentin & a travel tranquilizer, both of which give him short term drowsiness, but he’ll only tolerate for a short term until he becomes suspicious of any food I put them in & refuses to eat it. Then I have to wait a few weeks before trying it again. It is impossible to give him a pill by mouth because he will bite & scratch with vigor. I’ve also tried Rescue Remedy for cats in his water & CBD treats & oil in his food. I’ve tried Feliway diffusers & similar brands. He won’t tolerate collars infused with lavender, etc. & always manages to remove them. I’ve tried treats supposedly made with “mother cat” pheromones. I’ve tried calming sprays, both of which seem to work for 5 minutes . The cat runs the minute he sees the bottle, so I spray an area of a quilt that seems to attract him & he’ll sit calmly on that area for maybe half an hour & take a nap. Then he is up & aggressively chasing & attacking the other cat, defending the couch like it’s his castle, marking his territory with urine on back of front door, corner next door, a cabinet near front door, & occasionally the window near front door. He does not defend his food & can eat calmly with other cat near him. He also tolerates other cat on the same bed at night if the other cat can get by his defenses. This anxious cat also refuses to use the automatic litter box, despite the presence of both a hooded style & an open one. He will poop next to it but not in it if a regular litter box is not available to him. I’ve provided these details to say that the Purina product may work with other pets, but not this one. If Purina sees this & has other suggestions or ways to make this product work, please reply.

Can't decide if it's making a difference or not
I have two cats - an older (5 yrs) rescue cat that I've had a few years, and a newer (<8 months) cat who was born feral. The older cat is like 98% tolerant but then hisses occassionally at the newcomer kitty. The new cat is displaying typical post-feral behavior: hiding under furniture, body language that shows she's scared, etc. I've had the younger cat for about a month and have been using this on both cats for about 10 days. While the newer cat is showing more signs to being trusting, and the older cat is hissing less, I'm not entirely sure how much, if any, behavior changes can be directly attributed to this product, and how much is just simply growing trust. For both cats, I mix the powder into wet food, and they eat it quite enthusiastically. (Which is a great comparison to "calming treats", which both cats ignore as if they *know* the treats are meant to help them!) If it's helping, great, but if not, it doesn't seem to do any harm. Just not seeing any sharp changes in behavior - this is not a magic powder, but it MIGHT be helpful.
