Dry mouth pastilles
Great product which has a nice flavour. They have been effective and ok value for money. The pastilles are small and can easily stick to an area of your mouth to slowly dissolve. I keep them with me at all times and they are in a handy sized box.

Effective and unobtrusive
For dry mouth syndrome, normal breath fresheners, even when held in the gum, don’t last long enough (especially for exercise classes) and sugar-free gum spreads along the gumline and falls into small bits along the teeth embarrassingly. And these “confectionary” products don’t contain the essential xylitol, that is in salivix, which stimulates saliva production. Salivix is great for day time saliva stimulation, but I think you do need teeth to keep one in position between the gum and cheek. Parked between the gum and cheek at the back of the mouth, the pastille is unobtrusive, you can talk and exercise without having to be mindful of it and it doesn’t tend to fall out of the mouth unexpectedly and embarrassingly like breath fresheners and gum might during a conversation. Salivix pastilles are beige in colour and a firm soft in texture. Best to put the flat side against a molar (I go for top rearmost) and the rounded side against the cheek, otherwise they’re uncomfortable. They become sticky and remain in place remarkably well. One lasts around 2 hours for me, if held in the cheek. They are slightly tangy in taste - there’s no obvious flavouring mentioned on the box or in the list of ingredients. One thing I notice is that my tongue is no longer coated since using salivix, which indicates how well they’re working. Salivix isn’t really appropriate for night time, because they stimulate too much saliva when you’re body’s trying to dial down and they only last a small part of the night. For night time, I use a different xylitol product (there’s only one other otc product in the UK as far as I can see) which not only lasts longer but leaves the mouth moist for a while, even after it’s dissolved.

They do what they say
I actually like the taste of these, it's a slightly sour taste but not unpleasant. They do moisturise to an extent but no more than sucking a boiled sweet. Effects don't last long before mouth becomes dry again

Ineffective
Not a bad flavour but didn’t help with dry mouth at all

Dry mouth
Excellent if you have dry mouth due to lack of saliva. I have bought these numerous times. I like that they are on the small side.

Bad Taste but works for dry mouth / dysgeusia
This product taste like the fruit pastels that Granny kept in her wooden bureau since the second world war. They do help with dry mouth, so I'm not downing gallons of water before bed and waking up my husband 8 times a night to tinkel. They also help get rid of the metal taste I've been experiencing due to various psychiatric medications by replacing the taste with a pungent foostey lemon drop. Would purchase again
