Cleaner
Price was good and it actually worked on my new stovetop. Only issue is the small size the cleaner container amount itself. Expensive for the size but cheaper than Lowe’s.

Impressed: Cooktop Looks Brand New!
I was REALLY impressed by this kit. When I moved into my house, the kitchen had been "professionally cleaned." There was some black residue on the flat glass cook top (mostly around the burner rings) that didn't budge after some vigorous scrubbing (even with Magic Eraser pads). Between my own attempts and the pro job prior, I just figured it was permanent burn damage. I ran across this starter kit and thought I would give it a try in order to maintain the surface moving forward. Much to my surprise, I discovered that there's a flawless glass cooktop under that nasty grime! It seriously looks BRAND NEW now, like it's never been used.Note, I didn't get it all of the grime off at once. It took 3 sessions lasting approximately 10-15 each. (This stuff has probably been on there for years.)I found that for this type of deep "de-griming" job, its best to scrub it up with the exfoliant cream and the red pad (get it damp first), let it sit for a few minutes, and then go back and use the scrapper blade on the stubborn grime.BTW: The scrapper blade has NOT scratched the surface of my cooktop up. I don't know how this possible, considering how much I used it, just reporting the truth.I should also include that I'm not particularly talented at cleaning. Eg: I'm not that friend you call over to help you clean your oven. Usually, my own work pales in comparison to that of a professional cleaning service. The fact that I had such great results with this stuff says a lot about the effectiveness of the product. Now I use this stuff about once a week. I usually only need to bust out the scraper blade when something spills and gets burned into the surface.Oh yeah, I also love the Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner/Polish and Daily Granite Cleaner. Between the 3, I can get my kitchen looking really nice in a short period of time.

Get the Job Done!
I have a glass stove top and have always struggled to get it fully cleaned. There's always areas around the rings where burnt food just does not want to come off no matter how hard I scrub, even using this cleaner. The major difference is the scrubbing pad and razor that comes in this set. Using those got my stove top looking the cleanest its ever looked since I moved in.

You need it, but very pricey for what you get
Okay, if you have a glass-top stove, you NEED a quality cleaning product that won't scratch the surface... BUT, for what you get in this package, I think it is overpriced. You get a single-edge razor blade with holder... which you can get anywhere for less than a buck... a scrubbing pad attached to a cheap handle, which also can be bought at the dollar store in multi-packs for less than a buck... lastly the cleaner... a 2oz bottle of cleaner, which is probably good for a dozen or more cleanings of your stove top. The cleaner reminds me of Turtle-wax liquid, even the smell of it... it goes on wet, and dries to a paste which can be buffed off with a soft cloth or paper towel (recommend using microfiber towel). The real cleaning occurs from your arm-power, the (gentle) abrasive of the pad, and the razor-blade.I would suggest anyone else, unless you want a "kit", to just purchase the cleaner in a larger bottle, and obtain your no-scratch cleaning pads and razor blade (with handle) from your local dollar store, and save the cost of this "kit", which is overpriced, IMO, by at least $3.BTW, stove manufacturers use to include this same type of cleaning kit with the stove... why don't they do it now?

Wish I bought this a long time ago
I wish I bought this when I first started using my new electric stove top. I tried various methods previously to clean the stove top: Windex and sponge, Windex and Scotch Brite Dobie pad, water and dobie pad, etc. and I tried all methods with the stove cool and hot hoping it would make a difference. Nothing seemed to make any difference whatsoever. My stove was absolutely embarrassing. I bought this product out of desperation. Within 5 minutes of using this product, the stove top was vastly cleaner - but still had a good amount of baked in residue. To get from the 5 minute quick results to the final image took some hard scrubbing in various stages for about 15 minutes using much more product than the quarter size amount it said to add. But I think the results speak for themselves! It's not perfect - yet. I ordered additional pads as both sides of mine are 100% black and I think new pads will help finish off the job.Surprisingly, the razor blade didn't seem to do much at all except in the areas that I hadn't really attempted to clean thoroughly. It's the product and pads which make the real difference.Amazon shrunk the image down and it's hard to see the details. If you want to see the full size comparison photo, click on the title of my review first ("Wish I bought this a long time ago"), then once you're in the single review right click the image and choose Open Image in New Tab.

Does a good job
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I don't think I realized how much my glasstop needed to be cleaned until after I used this kit. Does a terrific job! The glass surface was shiny and free of the burned on food on the burners. Easy to understand and to use....I think my only complaints would be that I'd have liked to have had an extra razorblade for the money, and that the plastic part holding the razor seems a little flimsy, like it might not hold up to the pressure needed to use it, long term. The last is a bit worrisome, as this is an important part of the cleaning process.I've had the kit a few months and have used it three times with good results. I do cook pretty frequently, so the glasstop does get a lot of spills that sometimes get burned on, so that while I've only had this a few months, I've used it the three times already. Other than the two complaints noted above, it's a product that works well and that so far I've been pleased with.
