classic for a reason
used this on both bass and kick drums galore, sounds amazing. what’s actually underrated is how well it picks up high end - when recording slap this really brings out the pops without making it too harsh. overall amazing mic, great purchase for anyone looking to start recording at home/with a band

Drum mics
Used on a couple of recordings, work well and sound really good, great for the price.

Just buy another mic clip. The rest is perfect
It works. It’s cheap and small which is what I needed. Obviously it’s not better than Earthworks or DPA but you can get a pretty decent result with some EQ. Totally worth it. Ps: the mic clip that it comes with is not that great or adaptable. Just buy another mic clip.

Amazing Mics for an Incredible Price (plus a case)
Amazing drum mics for an incredible price. Use them live every week and they sound amazing. Am yet to record with them, but I'm sure they'll do a great job. The build quality is superb and the case is great too. Would highly recommend them for gigging as they don't break the bank so you don't have to be so precious over them, especially during transport! I wouldn't think of them as a budget option, they can definitely hold their own even amongst the more expensive alternatives. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely buy again.

Perfect snare mic
If you need a snare drum mic, and don't want it to encroach into the playing zone, this is the mic for you! Superb sound and really small footprint and the rim clip works a treat, keeping it away from stray sticks. I had an SM57 before and it was far too long to be held on by a rim clip, so it was a case of another mic stand. Who wants to carry even MORE hardware than necessary?!

Good value
Budget Akg made in China. I read up on these and these seem like a good investment.Used it on Acoustic guitar so far for a track .I have not tested on drums yet .but I bought a pair for drums tom toms.. Actually quite small good sounding microphones and at £45 each who's complaining ..nobody buys your music, so you have to record at home and give it away free these days 😉

Just works
Does what it says on the tin, really. May seem a bit entry-level, but I've seen these used in high-end studios. (Incidentally, many engineers swear by a cheap SM on the snare too.) You can get a nice clean, dry sound by just removing the front kick head, popping a blanket inside and sticking this in it. Good for a jazz sound, but you'll also get a good signal if you want to process the channel (or even trigger-replace) for more welly in other styles.

Nada que envidiarle al SM57 de shure, para instrumentos es magnifico, para voz no tanto, pero haciendo una buena ecualización sonara decente. Ampliamente recomendable.

Can't beat the sound of this set. Use it to record the bop kit in the basement. The extra tom mic I hook on my sax and it sounds great too
